RE: VT100 Palm & UTEC
Yes, I use the online vt100 emulator on my Palm 515 with my UTEC. This configuration seems to work very well. The online emulator has a virtual screen so you can scroll around in the palm display and see all of the UTEC options. I configured the arrow keys to be the <wasd> characters so you can easily navigate around the UTEC display. I then modified a couple of the macro's to be the <CTRL-X>, <CTRL-S> and others to automate some of the other options.
I have been successful in modifying map parameters from my palm.
You can see the logs ok, but I am running into issues in actually logging those to a file. The logging to memo pad has a 4k limit and you end up with multiple memo's for each valid log. I am going to try logging in doc format and see if that works better. The memo pad ones work but you must turn on line feed (lf) on the input. This places a return at the end of each log. I have been cut and pasting the multiple memo pad logs back into a single log file.
I have not tried to download a MAP via this route. You can send memo files via this palm software but I am not confident that it will work. I think I will stick to using my laptop for such actions.
I feel that the online software from "Mark-Space" was worth the $30.
