Question What's best clutch for RS-T

what clutch are you RS-T running out there. specifically guys with 280-350 crank hp. i have a stage 1 clutchmasters that won't hold my 20+lbs of boost on a 2.2t in any gear anymore. i am also considering putting a hefty shot of nitrious on there just wondering what you guys are running that you like.

I was running an ACT pressure plate with stock friction disc and 1st gear would slip with 5,500 rpm "slip style" launches over 10 psi, but held okay with "dump clutch" style launches. It held fine at 14+ psi on a 2.5L VF22 kit in 2nd - 5th gear. This was about 350ftlbs (based on prev dyno at 333 ftlbs @crank at 10 psi).

I went to an Exedy Race Clutch in August or September and it was the same with 1st gear high boost high rpm launches.

Then I upgraded to another 3" downpipe and air water IC with CAI in the fender 2 weeks ago, and at 13-15 psi the Exedy starts to slip in 4th and 5th gear when it hits 4,000rpm. This is about 400ftlbs at the crank now. By the end of a week it is still holding 12 psi (which is about 350hp and like 10 psi at sea-level).

That lucky bastach has a Chalak Syncro Set up. That's why he hasn't broken yet with 400 lbs. They are rated up to 450 HP at the crank so he is getting close to the threshold. Plus Larry has smashed a tranny or two before over the years...he knows what he is doing.

Paul...

P.S. I am runnig 8.5 to 1 compression with 14 lbs of boost with a settle to 12 with close to 270+ hp and 310 lbs torque at the fly and I am using an ACT and Exedy street clutch with Exedy flywheel. NO SLIPPING yet...

Ummm, that would be 4 trannies... Might actually imply that I didn't know what I was doing

I love my PAR synchro gearbox. Seems very strong. Did I say I love it? I do
