We used a Palm M100 with the UTEC. The software we trialled was Online(tm) (
www.markspace.com).
I'm not at work so I am working off my memory at the moment.
1. You will need to make or buy a 9 way D type male to male cross over cable. To build one you need 2 male 9 way D type connectors. Then wire as follows;
Connector 1 ----- Connector 2
Pin 2 --------------- Pin 3
Pin 3 --------------- Pin 2
Pin 5 --------------- Pin 5
2. Setup the Online(tm) software to 4800 baud, 8 bits, 1 stop bit and no parity. Turn off the display to follow the cursor option.
3. Make sure you turn on Online(tm) by tapping LOG IN or ON (not sure about the exact name)
4. If the UTEC is on then enter a "space" or "ESC" or "cntrl-x" to access the home menu
The Palm will work at 19200 baud. It just can't cope with continuous data at this rate.
