So I bought a set of these cheap headlights on eBay. Total cost of around $150 or so. I didn't expect a whole lot, but even so, I got far less than what I expected.
The good: - they were easy to install and just plugged in - they look cool when they're turned off and not used for lighting stuff The bad: - cheap plastic (understandable, given the price) - hardly adjustable, and via three loose wingnuts - high beams don't work, and actually when turned on, all of the lights glow very dimly (like a cheap flashlight with nearly-dead batteries) The ugly: - the beam pattern is horrible - even with the best possible adjustment, it still blinds other drivers, who cheerfully blind you back - the bulb plugs are super-cheap, that is to say, the wires come out easily, which initially causes flickering of the light, and could at best result in blown fuses, or at worst, an engine compartment fire - the wingnuts come off with vibration, so they get lost, and are likely to eventually let the lamps themselves fall out - the lamp bolts will eventually carve out the thin-plastic mounting holes through which they pass, causing more problems and eventually, failure I tried just about everything under the sun (short of modifying the housings) to get these to work, to no avail. Needless to say, I'll be returning these POSs promptly. Here's a "stock", pretty pic (I'll include the real-world pics later):

And here is the rear. Note the connector (took about 0.5 seconds to remove with a very light tug), the wingnuts, the thin plastic, and the three post "adjustability" of the lamps. Garbage.

Hi 2OHOH2WRX:
Would you mind just clarifying --Did you purchased Orciari headlights or headlights manufactured to look similar to Orciari headlights? Here's a link to one of the Orciari headlights: http://www.cc-b.com/GDA_Pages/wrx_wrc_hl.htm AstroDavid |

Your picture should answer your own question. I bought IMITATION/wannabe/knock-off/replica/rip-off/etc headlights. It was an experiment, and one that failed. Bottom line, if you want the real deal you'll have to pay for it. |

I too got these headlights, my girlfriend bought them for me for christmas and they dont really do much of anything they look good but thats about it. I would probably be better with maglites for headlights than those.....

Wow this thread is old. Anyway I bought 2 pairs of these headlights and I experimented with them. Here is what I came up with.
![]() As you can see, I smoked the turn signal covers and actually installed the blue auxiliary driving lights for my high beam. I angled them so they are right in front of me so I can see alot better than the low beam. Although the low beam sucks REALLY bad at glare, I am installing some HIDS in them soon. Hopefully It will turn out nice. |

I just bought them at pepboys lol. The mounting bracket is on the lights and all you gottaq do is drill into the housing. Very simple process
