Default Few little problems after stereo instal on '15

Hey guys, I recently installed a Kenwood DNX571HD along with a Kenwood KAC-M1804 PowerPack, Axxess system and Sirius adaptor.

All in all, it was a relatively painless install, but I would highly suggest getting the wiring harness that includes the Axxess pins. The great at low to mid volumes, but the speakers are dying for an upgrade at higher volumes. A nice sub system is next in the works, and I am thinking about a single JL W3 in a low profile ported box along with a JL 250/1 or a 500/1 Amp.

Anywho.

I have 3 issues since the instal.

1. I no longer have the cigarette lighter/power source under the deck. Kind of would like this back, and it could have been as simple as me not plugging it back in all the way... looking into it today.

2. My interior lights do not turn on automatically when the door opens anymore, just a minor annoyance but still... I checked the settings in the dashboard setup and it is set where it needs to be. They still work manually... but still.

3. USB hook up in the center counsel does not work.. I don't really even care if works with the deck, but the extra power source is a very nice thing to have.

Any help guys?

For your USB issue, you need an adaptor. The 2015s use a toyota style adaptor now from what I have heard.

That will get it working again.

Cigarette lighter sounds like you forgot to get it plugged back in. I would check that and double check your fuse as well.

Can't be of any help with interior lights.

That sub upgrade should help out as well. I'm actually planning an Arc Audio 850.5 for under my front seat with a JL TW3 in the rear cargo area and some JL C5s up front.

The TW3 is a shallow mount sub from what I have been reading performs pretty much on par with a W3 and for me, it doesn't take up much of my cargo area at all considering it comes from JL in a box that is only 6" deep.

somewhat related, but with aftermarked HU, do you still see the radio/IPOD/song info on that screen/boost/backup area ?

you know in stock format you get the GRN volume bar + all the song/album info on the screen up on top ?

always wondered if this doesn't work in aftermarket format - since the kenwood or whatever displays it on the HU.... ???

just wondering.

Aftermarket head units will not display any information in that screen above the radio.

You have to have the battery disconnected during the install or you will get an error message in that screen. All other screens will continue to work though.
