Default 2012 sti factory nav

Has anyone ever removed the factory nav out of an sti ? I'm trying to put a different radio in my sti and it had navigation from the factory however I can't seem to find a harness from the new radio to connect to the factory harness if anyone has a link or a part number or reference that would be awesome ...I went to my local stereo shop today and he could only pull up the wrx with and without navigation. however neither of them plugs worked so I'm assuming the sti is different then the wrx ?

This might help: http://ae64.com/WRX-pinout.htm

If he does have the harness you need, fair warning, he is very busy, so don't expect to have a harness from him for at least a couple of weeks. He does good work and it is worth it.

The only other harness for the car is Metra brand model 70-7552. It's a shared harness between subaru and nissan models but a lot of STIs use this harness depending on the origin of the factory nav.

If it's the same Fujitsu Ten unit that's in the 2015 WRX (I think it is) then some of the info in this thread might apply:
