Default larger injectors on 00RS ecu

are any RS-T's running sti injectors??? 560's or something like that is the size I think. Any success? What sort of modifications have been done to make it work?

Probably the wrong forum for it but.....

sti injectors wont fit your 2000RS without alot of work. Right now RC engineering is the only company that make an application for your car. unlike the 99 intake manifold, the 2000 has a dual set seat. FWIW you *can* make them work, but milling of the intake manifold is needed.

mm...ok....they don't HAVE to be sti injectors. Any reviews on either for a 2k rs? On both fronts, How well do they agree with the stock ecu? Getting machine work done isn't a problem. Getting it done correctly is!

Any other sized injectors will not work with the stock ecu without additional management. Supposedly the greddy e-manage system will allow you to run different injectors.

Essentially to run different injectors you need either standalone management, or a complex piggyback like e-manage and do some machine work unless you get the rc injectors which only require the management.

Maybe if you wait awhile the utec will come out for the RS as well.

You can run stock injectors on the stock ECU, but you'll need fuel trimming badly. Then you're using such a radical difference in size, that you'll have massive timing changes to top it.

If one were to try this route with the stock ECU and larger injectors, I would suggest a 2bar sensor (assuming you're going FI), larger injectors, an S-AFC for fine tuning, and a standalone timing management computer (Haltech has one, not sure who else does).

Hey 8. how well does that 2bar sensor work with teh stock ecu? does it trip any codes? yes. it'll be FI . I've seen extra injectors in action, but would rather put in larger injectors.

To be honest, I haven't tried a 2bar on the stock ECU with double-size injectors (which'd be 560's), but in rough theory, it'll be somewhere in the ballpark of where it needs to be, just need some fine tuning with the S-AFC.

Really though, if you want drivability in the long run, ability to pass emissions, not throw a CEL, etc, you'd probably be best off with an additional injector or two on a 3d programmable setup, timing controller of some sort (boost based or standalone, and a MAP voltage clamp for the stock MAP sensor. This is originally what I was thinking of doing, but then I went nuts and went full standalone (Haltech E6K) instead. Drivability is now all in the tuning, so I have it down to a fairly smooth drive, but still have tweaking to do as the weather is changing pretty drastically.

i have a 01 RS and after talking to skywalker...he told me to get the 99 manifold to fit the WRX injectors...so the RC injectors won't require me to have a 99 manifold right?? finding a 99 manifold is almost impossible here on the island

Yes. They came out with a 2000+ application about 3 weeks ago. Talk to tom at ludespeed if they dont know what you're asking for.
