Default Soon-To-Be-WRX Ower!

Greetings all you awesome Subaru owners! Been lurking the forums for a little while and figured i'd register and say hello. I currently reside in the great state of Wyoming and am a couple weeks away from picking up a used WRX (still narrowing down some options).

I'm currently the proud owner of this:

Then while driving home from work, somebody hit me and did this:
DSC00346 by joshipps132, on Flickr

Long story short, my truck isn't getting fixed..

So i've decided to retire the old Yota Taco from the road and use it strictly as my offroad/camping/4x4 hooning rig, which was my original plan for the truck anyways. I've been drooling over WRX's and their orgasmic boxer rumble for some time now and i think there is no better time to jump on one than right now. Looking forward to lurking around the forums more and participating in this awesome community.

Default Yota Taco

I'm happy you're getting a Subaru, but sad at the same time that you're ditching a car with the awesome name Yota Taco : ).

...not unless you make the WRX the weekend rig. Haha. From the first picture, the WRX can only do wonders on that road.

I came from a 2001 4 Runner to my 2011 STI and am enjoying the change. My brother has my 4 Runner but I hope to get it back as a weekend rig because of the above mentioned clearance issues for some places!

Well I can't wait until you get your WRX!

Eventually you'll get behind a truck just like yours and it will throw a rock and chip your paint / crack your windshield. Then you'll know how much of an asshat you are for not having mudflaps.

I agree with mudflaps for this application. Off road and mudflaps equals a win situation in my eyes.

I came from a 2006 v8 4runner. Great truck, lots of fun off roading and pulling people out. Toyota also seems to have a community of nice friendly people as well. Regardless though, I would take my wrx any day over that truck and I don't regret getting it at all.

Yeah it was unfortunate for sure. Leaning towards something fairly new, most likely 12+. Just for the sake of finding something with low miles and close by.

x2 on the Toyota community, i've met a handful of great people just here in Wyo through other forums.

I'm just wondering, what do you think of all sedans? You just prefer a wagon right?

I like the look and the utility of wagons/hatchbacks. They are so practical. The 2015 wrx/STI sedan has tons of space though and has folding rear seats. Its much more practical than my 04 STI was.

Thank ya sir. The 15's haven't grown on me looks-wise quite yet. However i saw one in person and it wasn't terrible looking. I think if they came in a hatch i'd like them a bit more. I absolutely love the look/functionality of the hatchbacks. I probably would have settled for a sedan but super glad i came across this one.

Black Dahlia Murder fan?
