Hello NASIOC,

My name is Bryan, I am in the USAF stationed in S Georgia. I am a long time car nut and have been autoxing my 2001 Honda S2000 for about 5 years now. Yesterday my S2000 was retired from DD duty to be a dedicated Autox/weekend car and I picked up a 2015 WRX Premium 6sp in WRB. pics below. I love the car so far, super quiet and comfy compared to my STR class S2000 and still a hoot to drive! I look forward to becoming part of yet another car community!

Welcome to the forum, Bryan. Thank you for your service!

Very nice looking WRX ya got there! Any plans for it, mod-wise?

Throw a pic or two of your S2000 up if you have any.

The WRX is going to remain completely stock, it is my DD, i have the S2000 to toy around with. Here are some S2000 pics. She is a 2001 with 149k miles, and is about 85-90% built for SCCA STR class autox.

Stay out of the vendor section then. The car porn there is addicting as hell!

I'll bet that S2000 is a blast. Enjoy both!

Yeah, that S2k is crazy fun, and is honestly way more fun on a windy mountain road or autox than this WRX, however, i am honestly liking the WRX a lot more around town and on the highway, the cars complement each other perfectly.

That is a very nice S2K you have there, but you know you can still auto X the WRX and still have it as your DD? With minor suspension mods and a tune you can have a great DD that you can auto-x as well. Just a thought, either way, welcome!

Stage one tune cleans up your wrx wonderfully, just a thought. AutoX must be awesome in the S2k.

Welcome!

A stage 1 tune would put me in BSP, then I am looking at about 10,000 worth of mods and a near unstreetable suspension to be competitive. To be competitive in STX or STU i would still need to spend a bunch and put much less streatable suspension on to be competitive. I could be competitive in DS but that would not be nearly as fun as the S2K. The S2k is a very competitive STR car and i have driven various boost buggies at autox's as an instructor. While fun, the only car i ever autox'd that was more fun than my S2k was a SS Elise. I am a big fan of picking the best tool for the job instead of compromises. A bone stock WRX is just about 100% ideal for me as a DD, and my modded S2k is as perfect as I can afford for autox. Different strokes for different folks
