Question New owner of an 06 2.5i with upgrade questions

Hey guys, I just picked up the car a few months ago and am loving it! Its got a little over 100k on it and has been running great so far!

Now, I've been told that the best way to upgrade a 2.5i is through the suspension and handling, but what parts specifically should I focus on upgrading? And what brands/ products do people prefer?

I know that I will catch some flak from this one, but I really want to get a OEM WRX/ STI hood for it. My only question is will having the scoop affect the motor in anyway?

Everything you need to know is In their. If your curious about different brands search for reviews or go on websites like rallysport and read different reviews. Go to local meets and ask around. See who has what parts your curious about and go for a ride. Asking What brand is better than the other is something you need to see and drive to know when spending a lot of money. Not just taking someone's word for it on the internet.

Many regions have trunk/hood swap threads. Someone with a same year WRX or STi might swap for your hood plus some money. With a front mount, it adds a "sleeper" look to an STi.

"Cost of Impreza + cost of suspension mods + cost of hood" probably isn't much cheaper than a WRX of similar age
