Talking Bosal Catback From Rallispec

all i got to say is WOW. . .low rumble at idle. . sound tapers off at WOT . . i just got to love it. . I've been in cars with loud exhausts and couldn't stand the drone in the cabin. . this doesn't drone at all . . very quiet. . it just sounds like the boxer engine just a little more amplified. From the caculations on my super accurite buttdyno . . i say an increase in about 7 hp . . give or take a couple horses. . .once i get my downpipe and uppipe in. . i'll be set for another couple of months . . .thanks rallispec!!

Glad to hear you like it...

WE NEED PICS..from behind, angle shots, everything.

I really want this catback, how is the fit and finish (I have heard minor fitment issues)? I've got the bosal downpipe and want another bosal piece!

Thanks,
Evan

I think they halted production on the bosal catback due to manufacturing flaws (Rubbed in places, didn't fit well with OEM pieces)

I would have bought this piece but instead I went for the apexi gt-spec since these were unavailable.

there were fitment problems so greg filed off the section where it was touching the pipe. before that, greg got me a new catback and that fit even worse than the one i had, so i said file away!
paulrex - i have the twin dump downpipe and the sti uppipe they offer at rallispec. . w/ the vf30. . and my god it's fast. . but the exhaust is getting way too loud. . i'm planning on getting the prodrive axleback . .so i can keep my hearing

Sweet.. that sounds like an nice setup. I'm guessing you have STI inj. and fuel pump+Ecutek? Or can you use the VF30 with the stock inj. and fuel pump by using an more conservative Ecutek map?
edit: I think I saw your car there getting work done to it when I was there one time.. I rememver an silver sedan up on jackstands and jen saying it was getting an VF30 upipe/downpipe etc..

might've been . .i don't know. . but. . right now. . my inj and pump arrive tomorrow. . and i got a mbc just to set the boost to 15psi. . from what i've heard. . the injectors reach their max capacity at around 17 so i should be safe for the moment. I got a month to try to save up a grand to get ecuteked. I'm planning to get the most aggressive map that will be safe for the long run. i'm definately changing the exhaust though. . i wanted the sti axleback but 800 bucks is not worth it. oh well. . time to save.
