Exclamation Monthly state of the OT address

I'd just like to take a moment to say that while day-to-day OT has still been slow, its been a lot more fun recently than a couple months ago. This month especially I see a lot more people posting and replying instead of idlly reading threads and not really posting. Its starting to have the same general playful atmosphere that it used to. So thank you all for posting and keeping things going.

Remember: the following things keep OT running. if you n00bs want this place to be cooler, here are some things to post about:

-Wimmen (hey, we're like 90% guys): Post about your relationship issues. we're all ears. generally a good helpful discussion can arise.

-Controversey (politics/religion/etc): Post your opinions. the more controversial, the better. but PLEASE keep flames to a minimum. nothing kills a thread, and a day, like a flame war.

-Random funnies: post weird stuff. whatever bunk your friend emailed you. beware reposts! but if you get the dreaded WTLW, reference the below section:

-n00b bashing: sounds harsh, but if you n00bs can take the heat, we all benefit from a little personal abuse. bite back, but keep it light hearted and don't let it get to your head. Let us abuse you a little bit and show that you can take it like a trooper, and you'll fit right in. we all went through it at first.

-personal hygene: hell if I know why. people jsut like talking about it.

-nonsensical polls: want to know if people like peanut butter better than jelly, or what everyone's favorite invertabrate is? post a poll! we'll make fun of you for it, but its cool anyways.

so yeah. this place is picking up again. I just felt like commenting on that, and letting the n00bs know about the kind of stuff we talk about so they're not so silent. I think one of the main reasons we've had so much more to talk ab00t is cause there are a lot of n00bs who are finally posting, so props to all you guys. we're always up for new material. Don't take yourself or anyone too seriously when you're in here

Thus ends the October state of the OT address.

Dateline OT......

.......Well Dan, in summary Iggdawg is just telling us what we've known all along...that the recnet OT suckage is a temporary situation and may be gone altogether in the near future........

...........

and now back to your regularly scheduled soap opera lives.

Studies show that the aforementioned suckage took a dramatic spike upwards starting with the 23401st member, likely due to his blatant overuse of the period.

And now for an update on the elusive keif. Bob, what what you got for us?

"Well John, spirits were high, and when news arose that the keif would be comming back everyone was filled with anticipation. But alas the country (OT) was sorely disapointed when all the hatian people were counted and no keif among them. Where are you keif?"
