Default Engine control on a 96 legacy with turbo 2.2?

Hi all. I'm in the process of swapping a 93 turbo legacy 2.2 motor and tranny into my 96 legacy ls. Currently it is a 2.2 with an automatic.
I'm looking for some ideas for the ecu. I have a power goal of at least 250 crank hp. I'll probably be adding the stock tdo4 and for sure the intercooler with bov.
I would like it to be turn key as in put it in and it works like it should the first time. The car will be a daily driver so i don't want something to be in need of tune all the time.
Eventually though i would like to shoot for something like 250 wheel horsepower (which i think is somthing like 310 crank right?).
I've looked into the torque chip a little but haven't come to any conculsions. Anyone try these with any luck?
I would like to do this right the first time so i don't have to completely redo the system at a latter date. I'm not afraid to spend a little bit of money on propper engine management but would like to keep it reasonable.
Any suggestions or comments?!
