Talking Telstra Rally Australia!!

Telstra Rally Australia is on!

Check the site, it is awesome. The cars should be on their way for the 2nd stage. The first stage was last night and Subaru represented!

Well, now there is a new commentator. With Grist getting the boot by McRae, he was signed up.

I was damn disappointed with the lack of coverage of the SS1 from Thursday night. It would have been great to see Solberg win that stage under the lights.

Is there something similiar to this in the states?

fusilier,

Nice picture of your car at TWS. Thanks for the link. Looks like a nice facility. It would be cool if MSR would add some rally stages to their ranch.

Alright...

Anyone know where the 40 kilos was lost? Thats about 80 pounds. Or was it 80 kilos and 160 pounds?
Weird for a car to lose that much weight unless they're dumping fluids... 80 lbs is 10 gallons of water!

That new belgian driver is lucky to be walking. He jackknifed that tree in the ford pretty hard. Funny how he tried to keep going after his car was bent up.

The car was 8kg under the minimum (1230kg). Since on the previous stage the car weighed 1260kg, losing 20kg from the spare should have kept them legal. So there is about 18-20kg (40-44lbs) unaccounted for that was regained on the next stage.

That kid thought he was Carlos Sainz. Sainz' recover was awesome!
