this is pissing me off.. all the other vids work but this one.

here's my problem, when the vid first buffers it's playin at 700kb/sec.. then the minute the race starts it slopes down to half that amount hence giving me sound, and very choppy video..

how can i fix this..

whoa!!! Who cares about the race! the D1 Grand Prix Girls pre-audition video is friggin hilarious. And who is that guy interviewing? I see him in pretty much every japanese car video. He must be luckiest guy in the world! You get to drive fast cars and then audition girls! It seems he can get any girl he wants.

That was COOOL, that lil'wrx ROCKS in the turns, it was taking them much much tighter than all the other cars, carrying more speed through the turns... man I wan to build an RA over here... what kind of power is the ra making. Doesn't it use the VF 34 turbo?

I love it when the Impreza driver taunt the NSX driver as he passed him to be the first place. He said "nigeru~!" which I think roughly means "I am running away." Then he kept on praising how fast the car is... Some awesome driving going on.

Thanks for the link. If anyone figured out how to download the footage, please post. Thanks.

I get audio on this movie but the video goes into slideshow mode after about 3 seconds of play. Anyone know what's going on or how to fix it?

Yea it's called streaming video. It is the worst thing ever invented. Relying on a ****ty server to broadcast video = slideshow.

I'm trying to find a way to extract it...

Is this the same video on the new Best Motoring DVD Vol 5?? With the Evo vs Impreza battle and the others with NSX, GT-R, RX7, Evo and STi ??
Also with the last battle of the Evo VII vs STi Type RA Spec C and the STi wooping the Evo by 1 sec? Although the Evo did a faster lap time than the STi...

edit: oh yeah on the video, that was the first time I heard someone say the STi was faster than the Evo on the straight away

Uhh, the spec c can run a 12.050 1/4...that's much faster than an Evo. And the standard Japanese STi's and Evo's were always within 10ths of a sec from each other.

Yeah, it's got steel wheel power and the body panels are made of foil :P It's Subaru's no-compromose "we'll kick Evo's ass or die trying" model

Looks like the server finally freed up long enough for me to stream it through, though it did get choppy at the end.

A couple of things that surprise me: The NSX is always incredibly competitive. Even more so, it looked to me like the Evo was close to dead last (maybe a bit faster than the Supra?) I didn't expect it to lag so far behind...I wonder how much of the race is determined by driver skill?

I was wondering the same thing... as I did not expect the evo to drop so far behind...

I've seen Type r integras beating rx7's, supras, ect...some is the drivers, but mostly it's whoever gets into first, first. The races are just too short (and the track) for the big dawgs to shine.

you seen the video where DoriDori (Keichi) schools the guy in the GTR R34 in his AE86 with a 16 valve 4AGE with 160ps?

driver skill has a lot to do with those races which is why I don't put that much stock in the outcome unless a car is seriously lagging behind.

Want plenty of Subaru Action in 4-5 lap battles on a short japanese track?

Go to http://www.bestmotoringvideo.com/ and order video #5 "Impreza vs lancer - the final battle" - it rocks !!

I got my 1st copy of their tapes when they sent me a press release months ago for the links page, and this one is even better. It is a must see, and so good I paid the full $29 retail at Modern Garage in Utah for a copy.

The "for sale" videos have english comentary/translators.
