Default hks f-con info

I need info on the hks f con on a 02 wrx. Such as pricing ease of programming and its functions. Ive had an extremely hard time finding any of this. I would like first hand exsperiance but informative links would also work.

Thanks in advance.

I see you are in Ohio. Dave Buschur is going to start tuning this for the WRX you might want to give him a call.

I have had one on my WRX for at least 6 months. I can't seem to find anyone that really knows how to program it. I called HKS and they couldn't help me much. I am waiting for a few shops to call me back

Where did you get it from? Overseas?

The only shops that can tune an F Con are the HKS Master Shops....and do be such, you must have an all wheel drive dyno, and obviously be a fairly sizable HKS dealer.

Where are you located?

Default Must be nice!

From what I know the HKS F-con is quite expensive. About 3k for ECU harnesses and programmed. If you did get it thats cool but I hope you atleast got a bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pump, and intercooler because just getting the F-con with out many mods seem like a waste of money. I know some guys that run it here in Japan in other cars and they seemed quite pleased with it but I have not seen anyone that I know personally have it in a REX. I think the price is the reason noone runs it that much 3k is alot of cash for my pocket book. I am sure its a good thing to have, it would have to be seeing how its used in alot of cars in Option magazines. YES YOU could be the first kid on your block with the F-CON!!!

It was not $3k it was about $1500 for the F-CON S. I have a few mods, but not a biger turbo.
Sometimes it is not good to be the first kid on the block with something new.

I have one as well with the plug and play harness - got it from Turbo Evolution and tuned by SP Engineering out here in SoCal. I had it installed for about 7 months now.

The F-CON S itself is around $900 and the harness is near $400. Unfortunately, the unit is NOT user programable - it must be tuned by a HKS MASTER DEALER.

For maxxo and G-force
i have a question about F con ! since i am really sure i will get one later! i heard that u can also installed a switch which alow u to adjust the fuel??? The function is like "Missing Fire" system ~~! create extremely sound and fire in the Exhaust ? ( just like EVO III in Initial D) is that true? i know F con V-pro has it as option ! how about F con S ???

Also, can u guys alos list the Mod u have in your car right now? i wanna make sure what Mod i should have before go with F con S preprogram. i know that i suppose to have at least uppipe, downpipe, exhaust and intake ? am i right?

Thanks for reply ~ appreciate...

P.S i am also living in CA probably will go SP Engineering to installed mine 2 !

F-Con V S is a piggy back. The Pro is the full standalone and one of the best in the world but both require tuning to be done by an HKS dealer with special software. Now if you want a piggyback there are two other choices and both are good. The UTEC at $999 and the Greddy E-Manage at around $450.
