Default Who has the best Subaru service in the front range?

I have an on going problem with my car that the dealership near me has been unable to remedy. I am looking for opionion on who has the best service department anywhere in the front range, or better yet, a specific person to speak with. I remember reading here about someone at FlatIrons that many people spoke highly of. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I bought my '99 Legacy Outback from Flatirons and was incredibly happy with the service. It has also been back to get the speedometer replaced. They were very professional and had it back to me in less than a day . I have had nothing but great service there and would highly recommend it.

You're probably thinking of Bret at Flatirons.

The service people at FlatIrons are cool. Ask for Bret Carter. I think he goes by SubeTek on the i-club. Bret recently replaced the fuel manifold on my 02 WRX. I still need to call him and find out what went wrong...

I had a bad sales experience at FlatIrons once. I think the dude's name was Christian? It was the usual sales-person crap.

I can second Christian being a total d*ck. He completely ignored me for over 45 minutes while I was on the lot. Finally I was helped by a incredibly knowledgable and friendly sales person named Larry. Sorry I can't remember a last name but he made buying my car fun and painless. Flatirons will get my business again when I need another Suby

Thanks all for the advice. I sort of had a bad experience with a sales person at FlatIrons too, but I've seen Bret's name many times before here on the board and you all seem to have good things to say about him, I will have to give him a call. Thanks again.

Flatirons wanted to charge me 26k for my WRX when msrp is 24.5k. I went to Valley Subaru in longmont and they bent over backwards for me.. gave me the deal I wanted. Got the car for 23.4k (same car btw) traded in my '97 GT for 8,7k when it was valued at 7.5k. I get free use of their carwash too whenever I want. I got a rock chip on my car from driving it a week after buying it and they sent out a paint repair man to my work and fixed it, he also buffed and waxed my car.. for free.

I gave flatirons a chance (I bought my gt from them) and told the sales person what the deal I was getting there.. he said "Well, my expertise costs something.. I can't sale the car for less then 26k" His name was Rip btw.

As far as service shops go, I use my dad heh. He has been working on Subaru's for 25 years and I would argue, the best drivability person for Subaru's easily in colorado and probably the nation. He goes by the name of TK at Super Rupair in Boulder.. anyhow, done with my shameless plug

I'm glad to hear it wasn't just me. I gave FlatIrons several chances. If it weren't for their fast talkin' "you don't expect me to just -give- the car away?" attitude, I would've been happy to give them my money. Oh well...

Regardless, I still think they have by far the best service department in CO.

I dont know about Flatirons for sales, but in the service department they have been outstanding. I have had problems with service at Burt, John Elway and especially with Shortline.
Im now a loyal return cust to the Flatirons service dept.
