Post Anybody interested in helping me install sound deadening material in my WRX?

Hey all you Austinites,

This Sunday afternoon I'm going to embark on the adventure of sound-deadening my new car. I've never really done anything like this before, so it's bound to be an interesting experience.

Anyway, if anybody is interested in having a sort of informal little Subaru get together, we're going to do this at my buddy Nick's (nsnguyen here on i-club) place in Circle-C ranch. We're going to have a barbecue or sorts and maybe watch a movie or something when it gets dark. Should be a fun afternoon. If nothing else, it's burgers, brats, beer, and a chance to meet some new Subaru owners in the area.

If you're interested, PM me or send an email to adam.barker@trilogy.com and I'll get you some more specific information on the details.

Hope to see you,

Does the car really need it? My RS isn't loud enough to warrant the 50 -100 pounds of additional weight.

Does it really NEED it? No, not really... I'm sort of obsessive about audio stuff, though, and the car is fairly loud. I'm not sure how crazy I'm going to get with the stuff. I may just do the doors, which should improve my midbass response quite a bit.

But, you're right, the stuff is really heavy.

I guess the other reason that I want to do it is because it's a project where I get to take apart my car.
