Default Opinions on cold-air intake or no cold-air?

What do you guys think? I think I might scrap the cold air intake, use a blitz to place in the engine to save the potenial danger of winter snow coming.

You don't need it. Just keep the silencer out and it does the same trick. There's even dino proof that intakes do nothing for WRX's.

Umm...

dyno proof

dino proof is probably too outdated for him to use effectively.

Pat is obviously asleep at the wheel, so I'll take over this one for him.

id like to see that...
my friend's stock rex was 'dinoed'
then they put on the intake and he had a significant increase in power from the xs-engineering intake, i was there & saw it myself...

also, import tuner threw on an xs-engineering intake and got quite a bit of power from it

when i put my aem cai on, my butt 'dino' showed the turbo spoolin up just a bit quicker too...
and of course there was a cool noise

DYNO

:monkey:. Funny thing is I knew it looked wrong.

Yea, I know they add power, I'm not denying that. But pretty much all of the power comes simply from removeing the intake silencer.

I'm afraid he's got a little more than a CAI to be worried about.
