Unhappy My car stalled today (note: not I stalled my car)

I was sitting in traffic this afternoon and I when it was my turn to go, I pushed in the clutch, put it in gear and started to give it some gas. At that point there was a slight thud feeling and the car was shut off. I still had the clutch nearly on the floor and I have stalled my car enough to know when it's my fault. Any ideas on what could cause a car to spontaneusly shut down? If this is any help... I noticed "all" my electronics shut down too. I didn't have time to check everything, but the radio and dash was off for sure. The car cranked right back over. My turbo timer was still on and was reading vacuum (0.00). (That is extremely wierd since it is ignition powered iirc)
Any ideas for me? This is the first time, but if it becomes a habit, it will definetly suck. alot.
thanks,
Grant

My vehicle has stalled a few times. I found that it was due to a power loss. It happened too me when I had my neonís on and the stereo cranked without an amplifier. Also I suggest you read your paragraph before you submit it or try hooked on phonics.

Good luck
