Question What is the going rate for 2003 Foresters these days?

I'm getting 2003 Forester next month and was wondering what they are going for. How much above or below invoice. The reason I'm asking is I curently don't live in the U.S. and have no idea what car are selling for these days.

Also how much was your taxes, plates and doc fee?

VanBortel in the Rochester NY area offers a Forester X for $18799. Taxes/plates/additional fees will depend on where you live. Also you did not mention anything about options....KBB lists the base invoice as $18730 (no shipping)

OK..........hope this helps.......

Most Subaru dealers sell for a few hundred over invoice. Taxes and registration fees vary by state. Check out TMV pricing over at Edmund's web site. It should give you more specific information.

Default Thanks

Thanks a lot for those. That seems to be saving a considerable amount of money.

I have not dealt with this dealer before, and under the dealership reviews they have gotten some bad reviews. But they are advertising all 2003 subies @ $100 over invoice Maybe Subaru sales aren't so hot lately? If u don't mind, please let us know what kinda quotes you'll be getting.

(My browser is showing all my entry in the same color - just click on the $100 line & it should be linked.)

If you are an IMBA member, call 800-SUBARU3 and get on the VIP purchase program. No haggling, invoice minus rebate price.

They will give you the dealer name and even the salesman that handles VIP customers. You basically get the price any employee or family member would pay.

I did this and it was incredibly easy. Good luck.
