Default The path for reliable power: EJ22 or EJ25?

Looking to complete an engine swap project for under 4K, reliability in the future being a big part of the trick, would you get:

Keeping in mind cost, and bang for the buck, and reliability.

If you want reliability, stay NA and go with the 2.5. If you want bang for the buck, just turbo your 1.8.
