Question Suggestions on type of window tint

Looking for some suggestions on the type of tint that I should use on my TS.

Because it is MPB I was wondering if any peticular types ie ink based etc would look best against the car color.

I will be doing all 4 front and rear windows with about 35% i think.

Parousia.

Just a heads up: Tinting the front windows is illegal.

if you are tinting just for looks, any % you pick is fine,
and as for color, imo any color besides black dont belong on any car =) and for the reflective tints, they look gonnd on suv's only,.

but if you are tinting to block out the sun (its winter now, i doubt there is gonna be any extreme sun anytime soon) but if you are, 35% isnt going to do it, its almost not worth the money if you are tinting it at 35% to block out the sun

and ya, the fact that tinting the fronts illegal, it may look good, but if you get caught and the cops take a razor blade to it, you'll regret for spending $200 for tinting and the cop just rips it right off + you get a ticket.. hehe

I had my rears tinted by Wolfe Langley when I bought the car. You can call them to get the %, but I think it looks fairly decent.

Check my profile for the pic.

I thought that there were ink based tints and other types that were all still black, but some lasted longer than others, and some looked truer black, etc, etc.

Is there a metal type? that is still black thats what my guy told me?

In the majority of cases, the purple is caused by people using cleaners with ammonia, and not by fade. Ensure to use cleaners labelled safe for tinted windows, or ammonia free on your tinted glass.

Read this:

then decide for yourself whether you want to go to the 3M place on Clark or not.

anyone ever looked into selectable tint that can be lightened or darkened by applying a voltage to it?

would be cool to be able to park the car and then have all the windows black out when the alarm engages

Well actually I have an installer already

He is a friend of mine who just moved down here to Vancouver to start his own business.....

His name is Brett Nicholsen and his Company is Coastal Glass (604)202-1836

He has about 7 yrs exp. in Prince George and so I trust his install ability (he has also done several of our friends cars glass windshield replacements and tint)

I was just hoping to get some recommendations of tint brands or styles you have used and loved!

I would recommend that you guys give Brett a call even if it is just for a price....
smaller companies, I have found, usually give better service and they are a little hungry so their prices are usually fair.

Let me know if you want to contact him and I'll give you a referall.
