I take it to about 7100rpms, a hair over redline.

The rev limiter kicks in somewhere after the indicated 7000 in each gear. I think it's deepest in 3rd. Assuming you are not having problems with false limiters and do not have a your rev limiter removed. What do you think the value is in each gear?

Its like 4mm into the red.
shift as LATE as possible, without hitting the rev limiter

It depends on mods maybe 6000 would be best.

Im pretty sure regardless of mods youll want to shift at redline in 3rd gear.

4th gear is a bit overdriven and you get dumped out of the meat of the powerband.

also, if you dont have any mods you can usually finish the 1/4mile in 3rd gear, shifting would be useless

If you look at dyno plots for these cars, you will see that if you shift anywhere other than at redline or very near it, you're giving up a lot.
