There appears to be a lot of wool at turns 3, 4 and 5. Or is that just bad .jpg compression?

It clearly says "wool." Maybe it's a sheep farm? Keep Cobreth away.

A Sentra rallying is no huge surprise, they are tough, light, and never stop running.
A friend of mine has a 88' or so Sentra. He has rolled it, ran into a few deer with it, and generally beats the crap out of it in every way known to man. It still runs, never has let him down.
I would be considering a Sentra for a rally beater if a certain 2,100 pound RWD Toyota Corolla wasn't for really cheap in a local salvage yard. Just need a new/rebuilt engine, and a clutch, plus some wiring- but still quite affordable.

ever think of buying a regular sentra and just putting a sr20de in it? It'll be a se-r without the price premium.
