Default What Alarm Do You Have?

Just a random question,
What alarm do you have on your Subaru and how much did it cost and where did you buy it?

I'm having trouble choosing between Compustar / Autostart / Alpine. The Compustar and Autostart have everything I want and even a few interesting goodies (pager, and turbo timer <-- for my turbo'd RS..lol)

So, yup. Thanks for the help!

Derek

Beside choosing your alarm, you should find a good install place. Having a bad install place will just cause you problem down the road. Do a search in this forum and you'll find this topic been talk so many time I doubt much info will be posted here.

Last thought, having a pager alarm. Do you really need one? What are you going to do when the pager goes off? Go up to the thieves and try to stop them? Also I doubt it will work in underground parking lots, where most stuff tends to happen.

I have found that as long as you have the basics of what you want your alarm to do, you will be able to pretty easily find that 1 you want to buy.

I looked for an alarm that would give me 2 stage immobilizer, dual motion/shock, glass break, auto-arm and programable coded valet, hoodpin, battery backup siren etc.

Once you know how many options you want, then price your alarm.

I have bought Clifford for all 3 of my work vans, from 7yrs ago untill the 1 I have today, and I bought Clifford for my Car.

pager alarm is cool in some way

ie: u know what's wrong w/ ur car...

but will u run up there every single time?

and it usually has an pretty huge antenna on ur sun visor....to improve communication between the brain and the pager/remote...

what if someone just break ur window and damage that? haha...

just a thought....

You could, but that would limit your range. The metal will shield the signal to/from the antenna.
