Trent aka dsmawd has a V3 or V4 STi swap done on his wagon and he's local to you.

I think (key word think) he got Rallispec or Lachute Subaru to do it.

Yeah, you can say that again, Ed! Lansing to Montreal = 10hrs. or so.

However, Lee is right, they did a fantastic job. Not sure if anyone in MI has any experience. However, if you are talking a USDM WRX engine swap into your RS, that is a much simpler proposition, as the wiring harness won't need to be modified.

We need more info on your project, please.

Actually the mechanical part is super easy. If you have a clip give me a ring as the harness will be intact. Otherwise if a lot of wiring I would need the complete diagrams on both which may be difficult to get.

Default hey guys, it's lachute speaking !

It is amazing what articles come up when you type in our name ! Luckily they are almost all good. We wouldlike to keep that way. Anyways, we take pride in doing custom, clean installations, but work does not have to all be done here. We have shipped motors with pre-pared wiring, etc and had just as good success with those as well.

We would start by packing up (after verifying, etc.) your engine in a big crate, go down our checklist after everything was layed out and pack it in tight. If we know exactly what car the kit is to go into, the wiring will be pretty easy for anyone with a little mechanical knowledge to do.

Give us a shout if you want some more info or to check out what we have in stock right now.

Best regards, and happy motoring,

Mark

If you got a pre-wired motor from lachute, the east-sidaz could probably have it in in an afternoon, or at least in a weekend, then it's jsut a matter of hoping everything works...
sounds like fun...

Default pre-wired swap

Even our guys who have done many swaps can not do it in two days. Pre-wired will save a day and a half, maybe two. But you can still figure a good 3 days when you know were you are going. This is one technician working though. Two guys will obvioulsy speed things up a little.

We currently have STI versions 2-7 in stock ready to go if anyone is interested.
