Default Let me see your roof racks on your WRX's

I am looking into buying a Yakima setup for my 02 WRX sedan........does anyone have any pictures of roof racks on their Subbies?

Also what size fairing does everyone recommend for the Q Tower system.........32", 38", or 44"? The website recommends 44" but I don't know.....

Thanks!

I've got a yakima rack left over from my Maxima. I picked up the clips I needed, and have a fairing laying around but had to break the bolts to get the rest of the rack on the car. I can throw it on and take a picture if you need me to. PM me if nobody else has a pic. I can measure my fairing also.

I've got the yakima racks on my wrx. I'd post pics, but currently the car is sitting in the body shop. Don't Ask.]

Anyways, the car looks great with them on, don't worry about that. I bought them for kayaking in the summer, and figured I'd take it off in the winter, but I'm leaving it on, because I like how it makes the car looks. For the length, go with the 44", it fits just right.

I have the factory Subaru roof rack made for our impreza's. I love it. The only problem is that you must order it from the UK. The way it mounts is far superior to any other rack for our suby's. It can be installed and removed in under a minute. I ordered mine from http://www.cheammotors.co.uk

Here are some pics.. I don't use a fairing because it is on my car so little. The crossbars are the factory Subaru "Load carrier" bars.
I have a Thule Velo-vise for my bike tray and Thule wheel carrier.

Thanks for the posting, dialog, link and the pics. It inspires me to want to dig out my old Yakima rack setup and figure out how I want to put it on the WRX. Especially when Spring comes around next year.

Kamil, I changed the link. You want to get in touch with Jim Childs. His e-mail is in the contact us area of the web page. I bought it in March. It was about $180 US dollars then. That was for the crossbars and mounts with locks. I also bought a Subaru 6-pair ski carrier. It cost about $110 US dollars to ship both of them here. In the end it does cost a little more, but what OEM part doesn't?
I'm very pleased with the rack,

Bryan
