2.2 NA motor & tires

Still looking for a cheap 2.2 NA motor in good condition near Edmonton. Also a quick question about winter tires. Can I run a set of Artic Alpins on the front and ordinary all seasons on the rear on a front wheel drive? They are both radials so do they mix?

You can mix but it's not recommended.

I wouldn't mix, even if the tires say they are the same size, they usually aren't...
should have seen pics of Yoko Nexuses next to stockers...

there is a chance you'll kill your centre diff

He's talking about a FF car. A lot of people do it because it's cheaper to have 2 snow instead of 4 snow. However, you will get different traction between front and rear.
