I'm going to be installing a Txs stealthback exhaust on my WRX next week and I was looking for some hints/tips that may save me time or a trip to Autozone.
Thanks

I ve installed a turbo, injectors, fuel pump, turbo xs exhaust, unichip, up-pipe, whiteline alk, and various other suspension parts and installing the exhaust was by far and beyond the easiest install i have done so far. If you have the right tools the install is actually relaxing, and power is very much rewarding. The hardest thing for me was breaking the turbo bolts for the first time. The whole install took about an hour, by my self. Its no big deal just get turbo xs instructions off their site and its that easy.
good luck!!! and enjoy!!! |

turboback install is cake. It took me and my padre like 4 hours. He did all the heat sheild bolts.
Makes a huge difference in performance. Make sure to have some one else drive your car so you can hear what it sounds like afterwards. Real dope. -NORSE |

If you are mechanically inclined, then it should be a breeze.
I would soak all the bolts in WD40 or PB Blaster. |

Install was easy , with one guy it was like four hours or so.
Just be careful taking out the oxygen sensor , from the original cat-converter, its a real find thread and they sometimes bind-up, then youre screwed and they cost about 167.00 and the dealer i just had to buy one. Make sure the first thing you do is just spray down all the bolts and let them sit for a few minutes before starting on them, its makes a world of difference. |
