Default Service at DonStockSteader Subaru Vancouver

Has anyone here in the past driven their Modified Scooby to DonStocksteader?

If so, has anyone had any troubles with the service people there?

Such troubles relating to the modification of your Scooby?

I currently have a BOV and Turbo Timer and custom painted rims, so will I recieve any problems from them?

Yes, the custom painted rims are enough to void your drivetrain warranty, depending on the colour of course. It seems the added weight of gold paint in particular results in increased stress on the transmission and differentials.

Bruno you're great!! No wonder Kevin is enfatuated with you. Nemo, those mods will only pose a problem with warranty IF there is a problem that is resultant to having them on.

Remember though, anything STi pink will cause the service manager to have a seizure and thus voiding your entire warrenty plan. Be warned!

I am fine with them I drove a Legacy with suspension, brake, some bar still ok with them unless the problem cause by those parts. I did have a idle problem for a long time rough and not stable during winter and they fix it and did not charge the courtesy car for 2 day they are very nice people. But I suggest talk to them first but they are pretty nice to me

woah dude you are not serious are you
i have a huge pink banner on the windshield and went there all the time for maintennace..

everything was ok, but first maintenance was the best.. it eventually got worse and worse and the last time, they ddint' even vacumm my car and i had to ask for it..
they also cound't take out my wheel inflation cap and dint' pump any air in it for me because of that.. i guess it's because of rust.

Well, I went to DD yesterday and I haven't encounter with any warranty issues. The man at the counter was very nice too~ (better than Richmond Subaru). Well anyways please post some more interesting stories that you had at DD please, cause I like to hear more about it.

Wheels paint on the wheels cause stress on the Diff & Tranny. That sounds ridiculous, if that cause stress what about people who change their rims, I am sure those people will have alot of problems in the future.

I hate them (SERVICE DEPARTMENT). I dont like them(SERVICE DEPARTMENT). I hate them VERY MUCH (SERVICE DEPARTMENT). I dont give a Sxxt (SERVICE DEPARTMENT).

WHY.
They broke my V.5 bumper and painted without fixing it. Mother Fxxxer. I was so mad and asked them to do it again. Yes, they did, but this time they just fixed the noticible areas painted again on top the old surface without taking bumper and licence frame out. That was sosososososoososososoosososoososososososoososososo sososossosososos Ugly UGLY, UGLY LIKE HELL.

I asked them do it, fix it and paint it like their own car. What they applied me was ......"MY DUMP ASS DD SERVICE DEPARTMENT" already spent lots of money on your car and we couldn't help you any more. I was so mad and tried to talk to the head department of the service and I got same answer. "WE CANT HELP YOU MAN."

TELL ME GUYS is that my fault that they had to paint my car twice and asked them even do it on good in third time?

I will give them a MIDDLE finger every time I passing by.
Give me some supports guys.

Sincerely

IN WALK TURTLE

In Walk Turtle, that could be a very good complaint letter to SOC.. one that could very well end up on the bulletin board above the watercooler at their headquarters.

Why haven't you made a claim with ICBC?

They will inspect your car for free, and then make DD pay for any damage that they can prove DD was responsible for.......
seeing how you already have DD admission of an accident that they were responsible for this should be your easiest route.

Thumbs down

problem with DD is that they use docksteader collision for body work. their work is HORRIBLE.

i had a hit n run claim there before i knew any better and it looked like they used touch up paint to repair my bumper. there were air bubbles and pockets in it. really bad job. not to mention overspray on my fog lights! argh

It is easy to get collision shops to repair shody work,
return to your ICBC inspector or estimator and ask them to inspect the car because you are unhappy with the repair.

They will give the shop another chance to repair the work, and then they will authorize you to take your car elsewhere if they are unable to fix the car properly.

MY OBS was bought new from DD and the bumper started to peel within a year. The Service dept. said that it has been painted and it was not their problem. I told them it must of been painted before I got the car. They were to look into it and then gave me excuses that the Local Subaru Rep. would have to look at it, but DD never called or returned my calls.

I called the Local Subaru Rep. and wrote letters to DD Director of Service and Parts; and to SOC head office. The Subaru Rep. listened to my story and next day DD called and said they would paint the bumper.

Because of the this incident I'm going to try Specialty even though I'm only 5mins to DD. To me DD Service dept. seems to have a stiff corporate attitude, whereas Specialty seemed friendlier and helped with sourcing some hard to find parts.
