I voted for LAW so that way you can fight our battles for us.

But #4 will probably be the most voted, because 95% of the BAIC are men. It's just natural .

so why AA or EA? Hopefully not for the girls because once you get into the upper division courses it'll most likely be full of guys hoping that there are lotsa asian girls.

I picked law so that you can get a degree that actually nets you bank so al lthe i-club people can stop hearing how poor your @$$ is

Plus having money doesn't hurt when trying to meet some femmes

P.S. Law isn't really an undergrad degree, but more like just a declaration. For a pre-law degree, it's sorta like pre-med. You have a list of class equivalences or requirements to fulfill, but it's somewhat open ended. Thus, you can probably major in ASA and still fulfill the requirements for pre-law. (Hint: ASA = mucho Asian chicks if that's your preference)

If you go with law, make sure that it's something you enjoy or you will regret it. You gotta go where your heart leads you. You'll be working for thirty five or forty years so make damn sure you don't make a wrong turn now.
Most majors will leave open plenty of options so that you still have time to find something you love and pursue your dreams.

Studying Law would be a good direction. I am ignorant about specifics of Asian studies and possible future careers that yeild Money. So you get a degree in Asian studies? Its a noble direction towards the advancement of the growing of the fast changing culture in California but other than becoming a teacher in that specfic discipline ...........what does a person do with a BA or even Masters degree in Asian studies do to make money? A writer? a political activist? a community organizer?

I dont know you that well Dorifto, maybe your family has great plans for you and you will be setup in a bisness regardless of your direction. But from my 44 year old college re-entry student perspective, Id say stay and be very practical. Oh shure your gonna here the "oh your young and you have time". Maybe you havent discovered your "passion" or "calling" but the face of industry and society needs critical thinkers and Law would be great direction.

Many student change their major at least once before settling on a goal. What is your aptitude and talents? what are you passions other than cute Korean gals and Mods fer yer car?

i intitially created this thread out of boredom. The first two are serious considerations of mine. I put law because i couldnt think of anything else to put down. I didnt expect to get such good advice though! Thanks everyone for your input.
i think my passion is actually learning about history. My whole FRIGGIN family wants me to become a nurse, and its not my thing.
Gargantua, you made an awesome point though. I personally dont know a lot of jobs i can attain with a degree in ASA, or EAS. My family dreads me getting a degree in hisotry, cause they dont think i can get any money out of it. Like i said, i love history, and law would be cool, but i would imagine its too involved for my taste. Thanks Gargantua for the good advice, im going to think about college a little more tonight.

and thanks to everyone else who decided to drop a line.
And if it were up to me, id probably go with option #4, but the pay is so dayam low

Nursing is a good field and there are technical areas that are not your sterotypical vision of a person in white giving meds and checking pulses. A degree in nursing at your age......and after a year or two you could become a Physician Assistant with a couple more years of school. BIG$$$

Yeah, just as long as you don't mind a hot woman with a serious attitude problem. IMO, the good ones look for a man who can accomplish his goals, not a man who has money.
