I'm crying

No really, I'm crying... I'm scared right now Everyone is arguing, even here in BAIC - the nicest forum on I-club

At least the technical forums are still moving along as usual...

My only opinion is that OT needs to be eliminated completely, or turned into a link to a different web site entirely. Its always the OT topics that destroy online forums Ive seen it happen over and over and over...

Like all the moderators. Nick just told them that I am out and they just continued on doing their modding duties. Or they have been silenced by the mods and chose not to try to talk their minds again.

Basically the i-Club life went on...

That is very depressing...

I should only be mad at Nick and not i-Club, but i-Club isn't showing me much love.

dude Alex I know all this crap is happening but just take some time off and let it sit. Don't come on the boards for a couple of day or even longer, it will be better for you. Screw all this crap. Just do your thing bc like I see you have a lot of supporters from the old school imprezas so dont trip

I think this is why I hardly ever visit off topic. I come here to be on topic! I'd go to some gay AOL chatroom or something to B.S.

Its a shame what money/greed does. Breaks up good friends, relationships, businesses. Keep hope alive, and enjoy what you helped create. And there are much better things to do than B!tch about it... ur better than that. Start helping Bozz with a website for gods sake, and get that silver monster of yours eating up tarmac again!

Believe it or not, it actually pains me to say this about someone who created something so great for all of us.

But you brought this upon yourself with your attitude and arrogance. I-club was, and is, a community that you, in the last year, gave NO respect.

I'm sure you're a good person, but maybe you should take a long, hard look at how you've acted towards the i-club and maybe you'll learn something.

While I hate to see such a pioneer in the Subie Community be pushed out like this, I still firmly believe that you brought it upon yourself.

I'm sorry, but that's my HONEST opionion

I wish you the best in your future endeavors, I truly do,

wait a sec.

if alex is stating that he still 'owns' i-club.com the --- how can someone jut kick him out? whether or not some people think he has an attitude or not.

if you do a 'who-is' search on i-club.com you'll find that indeed is under 'go daddy software inc'...

http://www.network-tools.com/default...ost=i-club.com

alex obviously feels like someting was taken from him --- which is something which he may or may not pursue.

in either case... being a new member here at i club i have to say that this forum (BAIC) is the coolest board i've ever been a part of.

rock on.

i don't really know nick or alex... but i think its just wrong to take cheap shots at people...

On the other hand, if Nick did indeed "steal" i-club from you (which I find HIGHLY-doubtful) it's still your bad for "blindly" trusting ANYONE with the site without some sort of WRITTEN documentation.

You have degree in Business, so you should have known better.

I think the point was, that at that time in Alex's point of view, it wasn't a business, but an enthusiast website run by friends

Exactly, this brings it down to 2 scenarios:

1. Alex is just arrogant as he appears to be and he's only using this "Nick Stole it" BS as a ploy to get sympathy from people he's never given the time of day to.

2. He is the victim of Blindly trusting Nick with -i-club, just to be stabbed in the back.

Either way, Alex has no-one to blame but himself

My dad's a lawyer and I asked him about it and explained the situation.

Basically, unless Alex has something in writing (which to my understanding, he doesn't) he has NO legal right i-club.

once again, his bad

It's sad when you see un-needed drama on an internet message board. Man, I really need to spend less time online.

Sorry to hear that a compromise can't be made between the two parties.

Happy holidays everyone.

Hey now your getting it! It's not all about you. I guess it would hurt to finally realize that huh? What a big news flash...

I NEVER volunteered my free time to wok for you under a dictatorship. I volunteered my time for the members here, to make this a better place for everyone. It's too bad you see things the way you do. Pride can really make people look like a complete ass.

You could have used this as a "wakeup call". I don't think Nick intended to make you leave. Your making yourself leave. It didn't have to be like this at all.

This is the smartest thing you said in two days:

Agreed.

Maybe the reason not many people jumped up to defend you is because they *gasp* agree with Nick's feelings and actions.

But then again we all seem to be brainwashed by nick, could it be that instead, we just feel that he has shown true leadership ?

Don't worry too much. This "club" won't last too long (at least in the business sense). It was not built on the proper foundation.
That and consider this: Over %50 of all WRX's sold were sold in CA. %25 alone were sold in LA. I think there is a little more resource to tap here in CA then anywhere else.

Go do your own thing. you build it your way. if you want, i can help.
Hahaha, you Californians have such a big head! 50% of all WRX's sold in the U.S. Hahaha right, check SOA sales figures...California was one of the 2 states that had the largest sales of WRX's for 2002, but they were behind the other state...Florida.

Don't belive me? Check with SOA.

After having slept on this a bit. I have to say that although Alex is the "founder" he has been absentee for a few years now. A site of this magnitude cannot survive on the whims of a creative founder. It's the day to day operations that keep the site going, and make it what it is today. The members themselves are probably more important than anything.

Every club I know of is run like a business. Look at the girl scouts, churches, etc. They all have fund raising events, they hire people to do various tasks, etc. There needs to be organization in order to prosper.

Does Alex really think that the club could survive on a $29/mo server? Yeah it would survive but it wouldn't be the premier subaru club in the country if not the world.

With that said, it would have been nice and it's still possible, that Alex could retain his "founder" status but let the rest of the people who are dedicated run the day to day operations etc. Which is EXACTLY what nick did. He didn't ban him, he just took his powers away that was hurting himself and the club as whole.

Thumbs down coup d'etat

Alex,
Sorry to see how this played out...especially in such an unprofessional manner. I think the moderators should keep their opinions to themselves seeing that they are biased by their authority and let the membersí voices speak here...

-Gagan
Just the webmaster? Both Alex & Nick have invested countless hours in the creation and direction of this site, give them both credit where credit is due.

Belongs to Alex? Not pointing fingers but like any internet domain, this one could have been taken if the domain registration was not renewed on time...and you know what, Alex let the domain expire twice, luckily we didn't lose either i-club.com or impreza-rs.com because Nick handled the situation and got the domains re-registered. Sadly to say if that hadn't been done I doubt i-club.com would have still been ours. Call that squatting if you will, but Nick's intentions were to keep the site that both he AND Alex put their blood, sweat and tears into up and running.

Biased by our authority? Please, any bias was created by the actions taken yesterday and the response to those actions. The mods are a "focus" group of members selected by Alex & Nick to maintain the order they have requested on their site, not a group for one and against the other.

Keep our opinions to ourselves? Aren't we members too?

Besides, if being a moderator has made me bias, its certainly NOT because of the "authority" , but more like we actually see what goes down behind the scenes (to an extent) as to who really runs/ran the site daily and who is really responsible for its well being

Man that was my line from SOO Long ago.

Now alex knows he burt a bridge with me about the whole tri-state thing, but I still do not believe he doesn't deserve a cut of the profits. Look with 67 paying vendors I can't believe that i-club is not turning a profit. Just give alex a cut.
Man you know you and I go back from the days from the days of calling each other over JC sports, and getting the word "forrestor" on the back of your car. Lately you've been ALL over the place, and the only who seems to help is Nick. So step back, you are just getting what you have asked for, and every month collect a check for what you did in the begining, becuase you weren't doing much now.
