Question Metroid Prime?

So does it live up to the name, to it's past?
Anyone play this yet?

Despite some people saying Gamecube is poop I believe its a descent system...

Default wow

on ign it got some of the highest reviews I have seen.. I like gamecube, i have both ps2 and gamecube, but I like them both.. Gamecube could use some better games, I might have to pick up metroid, it got 9.8 at IGN, I trust their reviews.. I'll get this game to use it as a break from VIce City hehe

Seems like a good game, but I'm a bit worried about the controls since it's a FPS and I'm used to playing these with a mouse and keyboard.

Still, I think I'll pick it up for Christmas...

I played it for a while on a friend's game cube and the controls are very unlike other fps games out there. I got used to them after about 5 minutes though and I think they work really well, from what I could see it was a great game worth the great reviews.

A couple of my buddies got it and they say it is incredible. I'm gonna have to try it out after my exams are over and I head over to one of their places.

I am a long time metroid fan. I picked up my copy on the 29th.

At first, I wasn't too impressed. I love side scrollers with lots of secrets, like the old metroids.

After playing all week, though, all I can say is WOW.

I just got the heat sensing goggles. The game keeps getting crazier and crazier.

This is a MUST HAVE.

I only own this and Mario Sunshine for GC, and this alone is worth the price of the system.

I just bought it last night but restrained myself from playing it... I'm afraid I'll never put it down. Over the last 2 months I've bought more friggin Xbox games than I care to admit, most for use on LIVE.

I was picking up NHL2k3 last night, and the girl says "Would you like anything else" as I'm starting at a pile of Metroid Primes.... damn my will-power, damn it to hell!!

I got a game cube at costco, package deal extra control bigger mem card, mario sunshine and guide for 220 in black too, just so i can play Prime. I got prime the 19th. All I can say is it is freaking awesome. The little details and the dobly surround sound kick butt. Play it on a nice tv with the lights off and the surround sound going and you become imerged in the game. Haha I think I actually got motion sickness last night from playing it too long (the ball mode i think is what did it). There is like no load time moving between rooms. The information system is pretty cool as you can scan enemies to get a profile on it. Supposely it has progressive scan, i dont know as i do not have a hdtv tv. Plus it has remixed version of the old metroid songs!!

I say get it as it is very good game,

Hey kenshiro, which server do you play DAoC on? I am on MorganLeFay...level50 mercenary. I also have a lvl41.5 healer on Iseult.

I bought Metroid Prime, only played it for about an hour so far. Very impressive so far, imagine it gets better the further you get.

well i broke down and bought it, only got about two hours into it so far. First impression-just doesn't have that classic metroid feel... Second Impression-after those two hours of play, i am eating my own words, this game is awesome.

Just got the bombs

FYI, I think at Circuit City, they have a deal that's like a Gamecube
and Metroid Prime for usual price, with $20 off the 'cube and a
$25 mail in rebate for Metroid. Basically, but the cube, get metroid
free...
