Default Injector Install question

Hey BAIC,

I just installed my stage 2 kit, and part of that required the installation of my STi injectors. I got the car all ready to go and I turned the key to the on position to get fuel ran up through the lines, and the passenger side (closest to the front) injector was spurting out fuel from the top of the injector/fuel rail out in the engine bay. I believe that I may have pinched the top o-ring and that is what's causing it.

Any suggestions besides that?

Another odd thing I found is that the WRX does not use retaining clips to hold the injectors to the fuel rail, it is completely dependent ont he fuel rail holding them into position. IS there anything aftermarket that can hold them down as well for an added precaution.

Sorry for ther questions, and thanks in advance for all the help.

L8R,

King

I actually pinched that same O-ring while installing STi injectors on my WRX. Just borrow an O-ring from your stock injectors.

it's a pain in the arse but it can be done....you'll run rich and will need some sort of ecu fuel control...However, you can play around with the fuel pressure to fool the ecu.

why pink I don't know..

good luck..BlueMax

If he's running the Vishnu Stage 2 he gets a Unichip which modifies the MAF sensor values to compensate for the larger injectors.

Thanks for all the info guys I really appreciate it. I took apart the fuel rail again and sure enough I pinched the o-ring, I borrowed one from a stock injector( thanks for the hint man) and generously dapped some vaseoline on it (just happened to have some by chance ) and replaced it again, all is fine with it now, but stilla cting weird when driving, not tuned yet but the car just doesnt seem to have any go, weird but Shiv assured me proper tuning will erase that. IF not I guess i am taking her to Diablo to have them look her over.
