Default Best H3 Lights

How come every time I get some H3 light bulbs, they are more yellow then they are suppose to be white? Maybe I should stop getting cheap ones, but does ANYONE know of a brand that can make my fog lights look whitest? I'm currently using a 100W one, but it's looking pretty ugly since compared to my H4s, it's as yellow as Planet Urine.

Are PIAA's and Raybrigs DOT legal by any chance? Just curious, don't want some cop hassling for something so small.

Someone told me that PIAAs and the higher end ones end up burning out your whole wiring harness for your lamps. True or false??

PIAAs won't burn out you wiring harness. Some of the cheaper ones though (i.e. ebay bulbs) have been notorious for burning out prematurely or melting the harness. And actually, all these high wattage bulbs have a significantly shorter life....expect 2 years out of PIAAs

I've tried 2 different types of hyperwhite bulbs in my fogs (ones from hiperwhite.com and one from Showoff), they look stock yeLLow. I've been told it has something to do witht he reflectors and wat not.

however, my friend had PIAAs in his fogs and they turned out very nice and white. So get PIAAs if u need some hyperwhites in ur fogs....either that or go HID.

and i see in ur profile u put San Luis Obispo...go to college there??

Nokyas' are nice, I got for both headlights and foglights. The headlights has a blue tint on them, the foglights are super white. But I now I don't like to drive with high beam up on the mountains cuz they are too blue. I gotta do the highbeam and foglight DIY mod.

Yep, still tickin' @ CalPoly. And as of right now, I dunno if I wanna be investing on PIAA lights right now since I could probably put that money into something else. I have these cheapies from the web (forgot the site) and they're just very close to stock yellow. But I think knowing me, I'm just gonna end up buying them once I get really disgusted with how it looks.

I think you're talking about Mo's. Love that place just as much as the next guy. For a small town, this place does have a lotta places to eat. I'm willing to meet anywhere... Woodstock, Firestone, Kona's.

Yes, I've been there a plenty. I actually don't get there when there's a lotta people... but that's probably just cuz I always take my order to go. I love them fries too.
