Question Front end conversion

Anybody have any idea whether or not the new body style WRX is gonna be similar in size as to what we have now?.. Ive really like the new front end and dont wanna trade in what Ive got now for the whole car. I think replacing the hood, bumper, lights, and fenders should do it if they are the same size. Its just an idea though. Of course the bigger foglights would stay.

Body parts are never cheap. Replacing the fenders, bumper, hood, lights and grille is probably gonna cost you more than your trade-in value loss.... especially once you factor in painting and the days you'll spend working on it...
That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Orion was mentioning the same thing.

On a pretty much brand new car.....don't waste your money.

And I can tell ya from the legacy stand point....when they changed things in 92 from the 90-91 legacy......it mostly all looks minor fascial stuff.....but things changed more so then they appeard.

Hood changed, length, front portion/curves, grill, bumper......just to name a few.

Just trade yours in, if you like the new one that much more......

Just to give you an idea of cost...

I just had my driver's side fender replaced, bumper cover replaced and both repainted... $1200.... I am thinking the new body should be a bolt on....

This could be the next band wagon for the WRX people to jump on....

I got a quote from four star motorsports being 3500. It is because the front radiator support is different Dang oh well I just ended up getting a regular wrx fender from them painted for 75 dollars. It's sweet cause now when people ask me what STi parts I have. I can say STi driver's side fender. If you got a wrx check them out they can get all body parts dirt cheap

Foglight covers improve the appearance, IMHO.

Hit a deer. It should be "No Fault" for most insurace policies, so you don't get points or pay sur-charges. If one won't jump out in front of you, find a fresh kill on the side of the road and have a buddy prop it up in the road for you to hit. Just dent up the parts that need replacing(hood, fenders, radiator support, lights, etc.) and don't do any frame or suspension damage. Then with the insurance money have a shop put on the '04 stuff.

My brother-in-law hit a deer (it really was an accident) with his Silverado, and is putting on a newer year bumper.

PS. I'm just kidding about doing it intentionally. Besides I don't like the new look.

I just saw a civic hatchback with an integra front clip on it today. You might consider that as another alternative if the new WRX front clip becomes cost prohibitive. -Bolster

If anything, a front end conversion would be cool just so you wouldn't have to have those messed up looking '04 tail lights.

I've also seen a Chevy pickup with a Cadillac Escalade front end on it- you could go for that conversion to be a little different....
