Default Push button starter

Got one of these off eBay - good quality but came with only a basic wiring diagram (RED-12V, BLACK-GROUND, etc...) and Japanese instructions. Took it to a shop who said they'd be willing to figure it out. They hooked it up, but the way they did it I have to crank they key to 'START' AND push the button at the same time - a huge PITA and not what I wanted. It's basically an additional security measure since the button is hidden but I already have an alarm - I'm shooting for !

How I WANT it to function is to just have to turn the key to 'ON' and then hit the button. Any electronics wizards out there know if it can be wired this way? Any shops nearby (ILP - I'd come to you if you knew you could do it) want to give it a whirl? I'm in west suburbs of Philly...... I know Zerosports makes a button that actually does function this way.

hey..i got the zerosports one so i know exactly how to wire it up for you. im like 10 mins from ILP, so if they dont give you a response, id be more than happy to do it for you one weekend. thing is, zerosports came with plug in harness. if you got one of the s2000 ones, you would need to cut into factory harness. I am sure the place you had it installed did that anyway, so i am sure i could work from there. lettme know.

Why dont you guys come to the MEET at HOOTERS this Sunday. It starts at 12pm and we eat at 1pm.

I will be there. It is the HOOTERS on Rosevelt Blvd in Philly.

Look in Tristate for directions.

I think Vivid has them.

Any picts of yours? I think a pushbutton would be cool... how hard are they to put in, like the zerosports one?

No pics taken as of now. I got mine through eBay. Yes, Vivid has the Zerosports one. When I get mine working right, I will post complete instructions over on scoobymods. I'm working with STI2002WRX and he has the Zerosports one. If they work the same one, I'll say that in the instructions.
