Default I'm staying.

Since everybody has been perstering me non-stop since this whole dramafest started, asking me where I will be taking my wealth of suby-knowledge, I have decided to create a thread to answer a few questions. Will I continue to share the inner secrets of my often deeply complex yet terrificly enlightening knowledge eith the people here at i-club? Yes. Will I also be sharing some knowledge with the other 228390 subaru forums out there? Probably not, maybe just a little. And finally, do I know what has happened here at i-club/nasioc? Absolutely not. Do I care. No. Should I? Perhaps.

On a more serious note, it's depressing to see such a thing happen to our beloved i-club. Hopefully not to many of the ACTUAL suby-geniuses will leave, but I get the strange feeling that people are leaving here by the masses.

I would just like to end by saying that I never really gotten to know that many people here, but the ones I have spoken with have been geniunely good people. I have also spent countless hours on this board talking tech and shooting the breeze, and I will continue to do so until I am convinced otherwise.

Alright, I've done some research on this topic and as a result I can wholeheartedly say that this is where I will stay. I am not sure if I am at liberty to divulge some pertinent information, but I can assure you that you will hear about it soon enough. I promise.

As a final note, there is no rational reason whatsoever so abandon the BAIC that we all know and love. Take it easy and I hope to see y'all here soon!!!

i'm staying also.

whatever happened with the business side of this site doesn't really matter to me and it's not really my business.

this site still gives me a LOT of feedback on WRXs and as long as BAIC still exist, i won't be packing my bags any time soon.

I couldn't agree more.

Why are so many members acting like this is the end of i-club and the end of the world? Are their lives so shallow that the i-club soap opera is this important to them?

I realize many of the old timers here are friends with Alex and have loyality for him, but i-club has always been more than Nick or Alex or anyone person. I thought the idea behind this site was to share information and help out fellow members, not rally behind one banner or another. The truth of the matter is that we don't have enough information to make an educated decision as to what happened between Nick and Alex. Nor is it our place to do so. Whatever happened, happened - life will go on. This is a personal issue between two people and it should stay that way.

Maybe I'm taking a simplistic approach, and maybe everyone else is making more out of this than they really need to. We have enough problems in the real world, do you really need internet drama in your life?

Sorry if any of my words offended anyone, but this whole situation is lame. I can't believe I even typed this. What a waste of bandwidth this entire escapade has been.

YMMV

Also, there is mor knowladge in out database.

Funny, when you go over there, to the actual performance threads there is hardly any trafic in those. It's the OT threads that are full.

Same thing happened when they were here!

Leo

PS- Guys, thanks for sticking around!

Hey, to put it simply: This place rocks. I'm here to stay.

Let's try to get this thing behind us and carry on with business as usual: "I just jumped my car over some train tracks, can you guys fix it for me?"

But why must people take sides...
Go to this site for the great technical knowledge
Go to Alex's site for some non-moderated OT

If you try not to take sides(unlike Alex and Nick)...they're just forums, post away

I'll be staying on NASIOC too, especially BAIC. I luv it here man! Met some great people too. No reason for administrative problems to cause to me leave, right? It's not like I've been personally wronged or anything. But I guess I will poke around other Impreza forums, too, just to see what they're like.

I have NO reason to have any loyalty to Alex. Any one who tries to tell me that I should not be here is wasting their breath. Don't let any one try to tell you that you shouldn't be here. You make the decisions in your life and unless you don't like BAIC, don't leave.

Most of all, where's the BAIC love???

It's here...I'm actually embarassed to have been associated with most of the folks who are over at the "new" site organizing a boycott and making fun of the new name. (While at the same time organizing pr0n threads. )

The Darwin of the internet will choose which board lives...and it's pretty obvious that in the end, the one with the most car knowledge, vendors, and USEFUL traffic will dominate. No one really cares who the mods are, unless they're a drama queen. I want car info, not cyber-best-friends.

I never said that.

Its hard to stay if people are going to play these MOLE games
where we have people coming too local meets and then
posting to moderator forums. This really helps our local members get along

Local moderator who did nothing wrong apparently is stripped of Moderator status...etc etc.

And yes the content of some threads that were deleted that should have been viewable to all.

These games are lame.

It only hurts the car enthusiast which is why we were here in the first place.

Now, Truely...Peace

Well, soon enough there won't be an OT, and there will be filters in place.

Right now, it's just starting. But it will have a feel of it's own soon enough.

BAIC is where it's at though, and will always check this forum.

being at school in riverside this year, i seemed to have missed all the "drama" that's going on. So I have no idea what's going on, not that I need to...

but I'm staying here for as long as I'm interested in my WRX. WHICH in fact, will be a very very long time, I hope.
