Go with the Blackfire! I use it on my WRB and I love it. It goes on super easy with no waiting for anything to cure/dry. It looks and feels just like a high quality caranuba (very soft buttery shine, and very slick feeling) but lasts just as long as Zaino.

Here's a pic of my car with Blackfire...

Hi,

When using Z2/Z5 with ZFX, I do not have to wait for anything to dry. Mind you, this is with 50F temperatures too.

Btw, I also frequent Autopia. Great site with lots of info.

my car was given the full Meguiar's treatment today for thanksgiving..

Meg's Gold Class Car Wash first thing

Then an application of Meguiar's Swirl Mark Remover 2.0

Lastly, Meguiar's Hi-Tech Yellow Caranuba Wax.

Even cleaned the engine bay and armor-all'd the plastic parts.

Pictures up soon... the quality of the finish rivals Zaino's, and i know it lasts at least two weeks. Hell, terry cloth towels can't stay put on the hood, they slide off no matter what.

I thought about using Zaino stuff but the regime was just too extensive for me.

Went with the Klasse system instead - i like it alot.

There she is, in her Meg's Hi-Tech Yellow glory, swirl mark free!
The finish is so smooth and deep.

btw, why not talk about other brands? zaino's isn't the only one out there, but it is one of the best.

depends. Since zaino isnt really a wax you can put multiple coats on to get a "deeper" effect. I know some people with show cars that put 10+ coats on. It took me around 1hr per coat, becuase they want you to let it sit for 30 mins then remove (which is just like waxing). Putting multiple coats on is a breeze becuase you do not have the leftover white residue powder like when you take wax off. I usually put 2-3 coats on.. I think next time I am going to try 4-5 to see if there is alot of difference.

Hi,

That's because this is a thread about Zaino'd cars. It'd be better to start separate threads for other waxes/polishes. Thanks.

Btw,

While Carnauba lasts weeks, Zaino/Blackfire/Klasse last months. They aren't even in the same category.

Here is both of my Zanio'ed cars.

Not the best pic to show the Zanio though.

The Legacy

new wheels arrive today, won't have pics until next spring though (need to buy tires)

The Impreza OBS -project wagon

Realize Zanio saved my OBS.. it had 110k mile from colorado on it when I bought it and it looked like crap... now it looks great!

Thanks - Jon

The server is down as it's being replaced.. guess I thought Dave would have been done before Monday. Please wait, they will come up again.. Also no need to quote my pics... I hate it when one pics is in a thread 10-20 times because people quote it, reply with your smart arse comment and be done, or quote the text.. no need to hammer bandwith with quoted pics. Sorry I had to rant.

well, first off, calm down. I was just joking around. I quoted the pics because they were red X's. God knows they take up so much bandwith

get a sense of humor....or rant elsewhere. I didn't do anything to deserve your "rant"

I looked into Zaino earlier this year, called Zaino, got the # for a chicagoland rep. I called him 2 or 3 times, without ever getting a response. Ftp!

Too bad I don't have a heated garage to zaino it this winter. Mine's clean as can be for a mild chicago winter.
