Default FS: Pepperspray (Good Present for GF)

Anyways,
I purchased pepperspray from this guy at a shop and fuond no use for it because my girlfriend already has it. I don't have a receipt, but it is all in its original packaging and never used. It can be attached to your keys and has a shooting range of 5-7feet the guy told me. It can last for 25 1-second spurts. I'm selling it for what I paid after taxes. $28.

I believe you can carry it, but can't use it on another human being, just animals. dogs, bears, or protester

If anyone already has or is planning on getting this. Please learn how to use it properly and direct the spray properly before carrying it with you. If you spray someone, and do not hit the target you will have an extremely angry customer on your hands. This would be akin to someone trying to kick a guy in his bits and pieces and missing. The level of aggressiveness of Ball Kicking is enough to make any guy get really upset. So, please make sure you know what you're doing it and only use it at the right situation. Asides from that...have a ball!

well besides the protester part ......yes you can carry pepper spray or bear/dog repellent to use as defense against DOGS and BEARS etc. How ever if you use it on a person and are caught you could possibly be charged with a weapons offence. The OC spray police used is a prohibited weapon....it is stronger than bear/dog spray. BUT of course they are allowed to carry it because they are the popo.

I thought dog spray was ~ 4-6% active pepper (cian?), bear was 12-15% and human spray was ~ 0.5-1%? The bear is definately the strongest by a large amount iirc... but none are pleasant

I believe in the Jurisdiction of Canada, if it is under self-defense for her life, it is alright. But only for self-defense.

I though tthere was a restriction, but, I asked the guy and he says most restrictions are enforced by stores but legally there is nothing wrong with a 5 year old carrying one. Though that should never ever happen. I thought you'd have to be at least legal age, but I got it and I'm only 17.

PM'd you back Graham.

Good point. Just my mom carries like a huge purse with cell phone, palm pilot, paper everywhere, it just isnt accessible when she needs it.

Still for sale.

A good headbutt will do wonders and if you get it right on the nose the eyes will water just as much as using pepper spray.

both bear and dog spary are ~ 5%...oc oleoresin capsicom (sp) is 10% in most police services. the heat scale......i cant remember the name but dog/bear spray is 250,000 ish and police oc is as little as 500,000.....it can get higher too.

to give you guys and example of what OC spary is like...imagine you are lying on the ground face up.....then some one pours BOILING water onto your head/eyes area....thats what it feels like. I know cause i was sprayed on purpose in a controlled environment by a training officer with the local popo.

Marge: Mmm. Homer, give me my pepper spray!
Homer: Oh, Marge, one squirt and you're south of the border! Mmm, incapacitating...
