I have a unusual setup on mine, so I am not qualified to critique the others. the board seems very slow now, or you would have more responses.

If you do a search for intakes, you should get a ton of reviews. I can tell you from what I have read on this site, that 2 or 3 horsepower will be the return on your investment, unless other mods are made also.

You may get a "cool" sound.........

If this is a first mod, maybe something else would return a better driving "experience".

Also, with many of the intakes, you will lose bottom end, and gain a little midrange or top-end.

Trying to be helpful, honest.

What is the "theme" of your car? tarmac rally, gravel rally, neon-clad show queen?

Plan the finished look of your car now. That way, you do not buy anything you won't need or want later. Be yourself!

I can't help you with that.

I wouldnt make any assumptions on the intake like saying the typical comment about it

" NOo water water water"
I'd talk to the man who created it, and that is tmrrally on rs25.com ... hes used it for 2 and half years and water is not a problem.. I always see someone saying this but I know several who run the intake just fine..alls I'm going to say is this: Talk to Sean who works at suby specialties in monrovia, CA .. I'd have a talk to him... Hes a great guy and he def knows his ****.....

Thats all ...Talk to him..or someone with the intake..see whats it like..how it doesnt suck in water and what not..and then make ur judgement.
I'd agree with gravel- fun if he had the exact intake on his car and it sucked in water into his engineTake care of ur self anyhow,

Well..........I stand corrected. But, I did prelude my answer that this is what I have read, not experienced.

I have heard it is quite expensive.

Thanks

Milla,

Why did you go with an RS and not a WRX?

I am NOT being critical of your choice, just curious. Most folks do it to save the money.

the gravel sports will not do you any good w/o a hood scoop...

get a cobb intake, it is pricey too, but you will get more than 2-3 horsepower, more like 10...

gravel-fun obviously doesn't have a cobb intake...

You are right. I do not have one. I only posted what I have read. And I have read, you will not get 10 HP with a Cobb intake ALONE.

That's just what I have read.

pretty close, their intake is amazing...

for the money, nothing else compares to an intake on the NA impreza. they take to aftermarket intakes very well.

The intake you should get also can depend on the amount of money you want to spend. A Ganzflow intake is $150 with the K&N Filter. A Cobb Intake, like it was said before, is great but those cost $270 and you have to wait a couple of weeks to get it. Both are cold air intakes. Both have good gains for the amount of money you pay. I am going to be selling my Ganzflow w/ the filter for $100 bucks.

like a filter almost directly on the throttle body a-la gravelsports(ram air)? if so, no wonder he doesn't see the gain... if it's like the wrc car, i would love to see it...
