Wtf? I still don't see the problem with clear corners. I mean, what advantage is there with having an orange piece instead of white? Damn cops, guess you were just unlucky. Almost every car at UBC has clear corners. I don't plan to use my V5 foglights during normal or night driving either, only during foggy conditions. Don't wanna get a ticket for clear corners, illegal bulbs and any other reason a cop feels like making up. You sure you weren't speeding? Lots of cops lately with radar.....gotta watch out.

Question

Whats wrong with clear corners? Some cars come with them stock, ie CRV - among others. He must have thought they were your turn signals, which should be orange.

Yeah, like Rudypoo said, he probably thought those were ur turn signals since you don't have any in the bumper.

Speaking of bad luck, I got a ticket for parking in the lot I'm supposed to park in. Wtf is that? Okay, I forgot to display the permit on my windshield but still... pisses me off

Nothing other than this comes up my mind "Dispute it" From what I heard from couple months back, only the turn signal need to be in orange, and for us, the corner light is only parking light, so no doubt we didn't do wrong if they are clear.

And usually it takes almost a year to go to the court, way enough time to do the research for that. I've got a ticket last Oct, still waiting for the court date.

well...I got a ticket march of 99..and didn't recieve the court date until march of this year...so yeah..that was the first of my 7 tickets..I am sooooo dead...but this is what I heard...they give you a court date like WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY after you get your ticket because they organise it in a way that the cop that gave you your ticket takes care of ALL his disputed tickets in the same day..and he gets paid to attend that one day set for all his court dates....and if you prospone your court date...there is a good chance he won't show to attend your new court date because he does not benifit from it..he doesn't get paid on the other date...so thats what my friend told me..it sounds pretty reasonalble...so I just hope I can win at least 5 of my tickets...or else I am soooooooo gonna get my licence suspended forl ike a YEAR!

On that note...does anyone know how long it takes before a ticket that is disputed is voided? I heard something along the lines of one year...cause I disputed a ticket more than a year ago..and the court date finally came. I'm just wondering if there's a time limit to it.

Ok, well here is a horror story for anyone who likes to drive fast. I drive a 87 Toyota Corolla, which in no means is fast. I got busted doing 135 in a 50, going down Derry Rd in Missisauga. To tell you the leat, the lady cop wasn't impressed that she had to tail me for 3 km's in order to catch me. This ticket resulted in a suspended drivers license. 2 weeks laster while driving to work, with a suspended license, BANG!!! 95 in a 80 zone, gimme a break everyone was doing 100 and I get busted... Ah well, that was August, I now have a court date for the 25th of this month. i'm looked at a 6 month suspension, and possibly a $5000 fine. But I'm a full-time student, and was driving to co-op during the time of the offence, so I should get off pretty lightly. Just some advice to people who get tickets, SLOW THE F*CK DOWN!!! I llove speeding, I love the feeling of passing anyone, anywhere and at anytime. But this might have a big consequence on the next year or so of my life. I am now taking all my frustrations out on back roads with a Turbo Sprint. Take care, drive safe and don't be stupid like me.....
