Heres the deal. If been trying to find a reverse front strut bar to clear a spearco TMIC (GC8). Ive spoken to a few vendors and they said they have dropped the Whiteline brand and do not know of any other brand who carry the reverse strut bars. Are Whiteline brand parts junk? Ive never bought anything to have an opinion, there must be a reason behind vendors dropping that brand. Any info?
Thanks J

Most likely because they were all getting their Whiteline parts from Mofugas Motorsports (the official US distributor) who have apparently gone out of business- take a look

Another cheers for Don and Colin at pdm. Great vendor and great people to deal with.
Also about whiteline. I have front and rear strut bars, rear 20 - 24 adjustable sway bar with mounting brackets and the new whiteline alloy rear endlinks (KLC26). Control springs, and steering rack bushings. All are whiteline. I swear by the stuff. |

G'day everyone,
Just thought I'd hop in to answer the strut brace question and clarify a few things regarding distribution of our product in North America and the US. J, we have a couple of strut brace otpions for the GC chassis, all alloy adjustable. Front strut brace KSB550 - mounts across the centre between the strut tops KSB551 - mounts behind intercooler close to fire wall. Specially designed for large TMIC. Rear strut brace KSB520 - suits both sedan and wagon KSB584 - designed specifically for wagon with more direct connection. Brian, you're right about the demise of Mofugas Motorsports but I hope it wasnt because of our products Rob Schwenke, the President was actually one of our first customers in the US. He started buying Galant stuff back in 1997 and expanded his purchasing to start distributing from his home. The business grew but being a part time thing, he ran into some problems that forced him to make some hard decisions. The outcome was that he wound up the company late last year. We're very sorry to have lost Rob as he was an enthusiast and had a good customer base. In the meantime, MRT and PDM Racing in Vancouver have also become distributors of ours with Don at PDM being with us almost as long as Mofugas. Both are listed on our web site (http://www.whiteline.com.au/dealers_usa.htm) as North American distributors and they continue to this day. Don will be particularly pleased to hear the positive comments about their service. MRT Performance have been a customer of Whitelines for over 10 years, right back to when Brett Middleton used to rally Daihatsu's. In 2002, we asked MRT to join our list of North American distributors which includes their network of dealers around the US. These are all listed on our web site and gives us a pretty good coverage for both sides of the country. Its a shame that we've done such a poor job of communicating our dealer presence and we obvioulsy need to try harder. However, as you can see, there are a number of places selling our product including our own WebStore that acts as a last resort if you can't get a hold of something over there and don't wish to wait. We welcome any feedback you may have on product availability and what we might do to improve it. Best regards Jim Gurieff Whiteline Automotive |
