Default #1 impreza? Yp. Right here in the bay

#1 impreza? Yp. Right here in the bay. Atleast according to the VIN #

My VIN number ends with YG400001 - which means that was the FIRST 2000 impreza made.

Am I reading this correctly?

Sweet, now that I can reconstruct your vin number; I can get a shady locksmith to make me a key for your car!

Hmmm - or you can walk up to any car, whipe out the windsheild and take a look on a dash

hmm looking at the vin decoding, the production numbers, and my 2000 2.5RS coupe and my brothers 2.5RS coupe, these numbers are not looking right.

one is 01449 and the other is 03440

In other words, if your #1, I'm #1449 and my brother is #3440 yet there were only 2375 5spd coupes and 535 Auto coupes made in MY2000.

Something does not add up here.

It doesn't add up because they didn't produce a batch of RS manuals in one go. ALL Impreza's would be included in the 400000 series for that year- L sedans, L coupes, L wagons, RS coupes, RS sedans, manuals, automatics- everything. You have the 1449th Impreza made, not the 1449th RS made .
