clear corner is not illegal as long as the light is white for driving and amber for signal...if it looks like kinda white-blue at night...they can still charge u for the wrong color light bulbs...

I should be OK then, since my stock bumber turn signals are still amber. Clear corners on the impreza are *not* the turn signals. I'm using sylvania cool blue headlights, which have a nice color (white but not blue or purple), and are "100% legal for street use" according to the package.

I'm using GE2040 halogen bulbs in the corners, which don't quite match the headlites, but are *way* better than the weak stock corner bulbs...

Rudypoo: I looked everywhere after hearing about them on the board. I finally found them by chance at Cdn Tire! If you can't find them, I'll check mine and give you the part number. The GE2040's were also from Cdn Tire.

pilotdoc: i know the clear corner for Subaru is not for turing signal...yet i saw a RS which has connected it w/ the signal (it lights up the signal on bumper w/ the corner as well as the side marker when the driving light is on...yet 3 of them blinks at the same time when u use signal)
in that case it will be illegal...

well...if you have any white blinking signal i am sure it's illegal (or any other colors rather than amber, or amber/red for the rear signals)...
i think if they give u a ticket for having a clear corner...as long as u show him it's not a signal light (it won't blink)...they won't give u a ticket...yet if it's a white-blue light bulbs...then you will still be ticketed...
and if the turning signal is blinking in a speed faster than normal...u can also be ticketed even if u have amber light bulbs...

Rudypoo, I got them in Kelowna. They are Sylvania part no. 9003CB, 12V, 60/55W. They say Xenon filled and 100% street legal. There is no tint to the bulb on the outside, but they light up very nice and white, big difference from the stock ones. Because they're not 80/100 or something like that, I'm hoping they'll last longer than say, PIAA's, which are a lot more expensive, and can brown your reflectors because of the increased heat. If you can't find them, I can probably mail them to you, or I'm coming to Vancouver this weekend also...

Thanks for the offer but i found a pair. Had to drive 1/2 hour for them but I got them. The H4 seems to be quite popular as most stores have everything else but that.

Rudypoo, glad you found them! Let me know how you like them. I find them really nice, and combined with DIY clear corners with GE2040 bulbs a very nice match.
