Cool

for about $300 or so...all you can get for a Subaru is universal muffler....that means it will fit any car...coz it just weld up to ur stock exhaust...
i know A&J has a Vision N1 universal muffler for $280installed plus taxes...it's good for some sound and different looking...but not much help for performance (so does most of the other's universal muffler...not designed for that car is the reason)

yah, i probaly only focus on some cheasy universal ones. Cuz once i start on the performance parts, simply i just CAN'T afford them.

how about SUBARU PERFORMANCE MUFFLER? how much? 400? it says "performance," is there? does anyone have experience with the sound?

Well, I have a scoobysport and a straight pipe (no cats and we eliminated the y-pipe).

Those at the meet, you all know how it sounds.

It is not so "intrusive" before you remove the cats, but still pretty good for street (I only got 2 tickets for it :-)). Without the cats, it sounds bitchin' !!

Question

Oh, patr, how can you pass the air care without the cat? You have to put it back once a year?

I just wonder it is which part in the exhaust we can't change because of the air care inspection. Thanks.

arggg, sorry to say, but vision N1 muffler looks really ugly, i've asked around, both Apexi (some model) and fireball are about 450ish installed WITHOUT taxes, can anyone beat that?

where can i find the $375 fireball (installed??) people were talking about awhile ago?

Umm, if you live outside of the lower mainland there is no aircare. Now think creatively.

Also a note, you don't have to AirCare anymore if your car is MY99 or newer...

Borla universal is a nice choice, $150 for muffler, (straight thru), and I spent $135 plus tax for a good 2.25" cat back installation at local muffler shop (Speedy). I bought both a resonated 3" stainless tip and stainless in-line resonator as well, but that's optional (only cause I didn't want it too loud, others are very happy without them). Good deal I think. Catback for under $300.

i have checked around...my friend can't get any universal fireball coz he told me that his cost for the universal and bolt on is only $25 diff!!!
i guess probably A&J and some other shops like Bavania are the place u can get and i can probably get it installed for about $380 plus taxes...(brand new)
there is another Taiwanese made universal muffler and it's also about $350 to $380 installed plus taxes...it looks like the Tanabe Racing "Medallian"??!!
Borla is another choice u can get and u can also find that at Mopac (there is one on Kingsway at Knight)...

The sway bar is Whiteline adjustable, from Rallispec.

Automorph, sorry about that. My email should be readable now on my profile. Look forward to receiving the package, thanks!
