Can we simply take the heads of a 2000RS.......and bolt-in on a 99RS block?

And if YES, I know that there's a procedure to screwback the heads......does someone know what it is exactly?

the MY99-01 all shared the exact same motor(other than manifold). You guys are lucky, no need to remove the cams like us DOHC people
as for bolt pattern and torque, I'll have to go look it up...

no problem, and one more thing to note, Always use new headgaskets when putting heads on, never re-use your old ones.. and make sure the seal on the valve covers is not torn in any place.

Straight from the manual...

(bolt pattern)

(c) (a) (f)

(e) (b) (d)

1. apply a coat of engine oil to washers and bolt threads.
2. tighten all bolts to 22 ft-lb in alphabetical order. then tighten to 51 ft-lb in alphabetical order.
3.back off all bolts by 180 degrees; then again by 180 degrees
4. tighten bolts (a) and (b) to 25 ft-lb
5. tighten bolts (c) (d) (e) (f) to 11 ft-lb
6. tighten all bolts by 80 to 90 degrees in alphabetical order
7. further tighten all bolts by 80 to 90 degrees in alphabetical order.
CAUTION: do not exceed 180 degrees in last two steps.

Are you talking about the head bolts or the bolts that holdt he cam plate on? I'm looking at the 2001 engine manual right now and I looked at the 2001 SOHC engine that's sitting on the stand in my garage. There are 6 head bolts, but there are 10 bolts that hold the cam plate on.
