Oooo...I've been there! Really creepy drive. At least when me and my friends went up. This really thick fog rolled in when we were driving and couldnt see anything. Really dark too. Plus no cell phone reception so if u break down there you're screwed. If nothin scary happens though its still a fun drive.

Question

This is a true story that will freak you out!

I dated this girl for a couple of months. After we became really close, she confided to me some happenings in thier home.

Thier house is haunted by a woman in a civil war era dress. Now, this house is not that old, so she contributes the haunting to be related to a civil war hospital, I think, that was nearby.

The first RECURRING incedent is the slamming of one particular door if it is not closed all the way. There is no draft in this place as the house is about 20 years old, tops. That's no biggie you say......Fine. Too vague, too explainable.

#2-The girl I dated was a single mom. She still lived with her parents. All family members, to my knowledge, have seen a crystal clear shadow of a woman walking down the halls and in certain rooms. The vision is as clear as someone standing in front of a light against a white wall.

One time, she said she was taking a bath, and the shadow appeared on the bathroom wall. She stared at the sight for about 20 seconds, and then said out loud "Do you mind?". The vision disappeared within a couple of seconds.

That is weird!!!!

#3-They had a small grandfather clock in the living room. It had been handed down several times by relatives. The family attempted to have the clock repaired. The technician said it would be very costly or not repairable. I cannot remember. The family kept the clock on display as an heirloom only, for about 15 years.

One the day my, then girlfriend, brought home her newborn daughter, she noticed the clocks pendulum was swinging in perfect time. She watched the clock and listened to the perfect clicking of the works inside, while she held her newborn in her arms.

She called her mom at work to see who repaired the clock while she was in the hospital. The mother asked what in the world she was talking about; that the clock has been broken for as long as they had owned it. When the girl returned the telephone to the charger in the kitchen and returned to the living room, the clock was silent and still.

Her only explanation was that the "woman" had come to see the newborn child, and to make it known that she was present.

I hear there's a REAL (usually when people use the word real means there's story behind it) haunted house near top of the twin peak. Drive by once never have the guts to strike in though. The house is spooky/abandon and there's no other house around it. My friend told me the land lord tried many times to take down the house and never success, either the construction never got start or got interruped during the process. I didn't remember the whole story behind the house but is like a family member killed the rest of the family in the house...

nope havnt seen ghosts yet but something similar. A friend took me and friends to gravity hill right when we got there it was crazy a whole lotta fog. another freaky thing was that when the car was in nutruel the car moved, this might seem funny but the ground is totally flat its pritty leveled. the story behind that is there was a incident when some one hijacked a bus and took it to gravity hill and raped and killed all the kids. suposidly the kids are pushing u away from the incident some say the DEVIL was the one who killed all those kids. i dunno but i remember we opened the door and heard a loud scream like a girls voice and there was no girls with us also the doors shut after 1 min of being open. it skared the bageezies out of me we just sped off after that im not going back there

Im down to do some exporing of these type of places.

does anyone want to setup a little trip through some of these places sometime? I think that would cool if we could get a group of 5 or more people to go through a haunted tour of some of the bay areas "hot spots"

i would be down to join...

don't bother with gravity hill, it is an optical illusion, it is really sloped slightly. butcher house thingy can be scary if it is dark enough and hells gate is semi scary. lol. but a lot of wierd poeple hang out here to mess with people. my friends went one time and they got shot at multiple shots were fired by rifles. all those are locoted within 1 mile of eachother on empire mine RD in the cuts between antioch and brentwood and clayton. I live in concord very close to it. dont bother unless your in the area lol

Along Ocean Beach, up the hill from the Cliff House, are the remains of some of the coastal defense forts dating back to the Spanish era (I think). If you go up the hill and into the woods next to the upper parking lot, you'll run into some more ruins. In the daytime, it's pretty cool just exploring, and people jog there all the time. At night.... at night is another matter.... that place gets so dark and quiet that it's quite freaky at night, especially with the tumble-down ruins all over the place. Not exactly a safe spot either. I'm not sure if it's haunted, but it's definitely a freaky place to be at night.

There's another place along the coast, near Fort Funston. Rumor has it that there is a cave or a shack in the area that was used for Satanic worship, and a murder was committed there. The place is near where the hang-gliders take off from.

I've seen the house at Twin Peaks... it looks very freaky, the windows all boarded up, the path leading up to the house going back and forth, with plenty of places for someone to jump out and grab you .

Stow Lake has its version of the Lady of the Lake. Some people have reported seeing a lady out in the middle of the lake on a boat after dark. The lady seems to be looking for someone or something, as she floats by, intently looking in the water. Rumor has it that a young woman and her child drowned in Stow Lake, and the Lady of the Lake is the mother looking for her drowned baby in the water. Rumor also has it that if she notices you, she'll float over in her boat and ask you if you've seen her baby.

Heh heh heh ... I grew up next to 5 cemeteries (at the border of Colma and South San Francisco). I guess I've grown used to this kind of stuff .

sorry to burst the bubble on marsh road but only a fraction of the stuff about that place is true.

A long time ago some football players brought a cheerleader up to marsh road, raped her and killed her. They dumped her body under the bridge which is the starting point of the road to the house. Many people have gone up there and walked the path to the house. It is pretty creepy because when you walk on the road you cannot see anything around you because of the hills surrounding the road. Also you have to back your car in there or you cannot get out of the man living there comes out. Also he comes out armed with rifle and chases anyone that comes onto his property with his pickup truck. Anyone that has gone up there has the errie feeling and i think if even a bunny pops out everyone would run screaming so a huge truck with its brights on would freak anyone out. There have been many stories about the man being the killer or a freak albino but that is not true because my friends dad is freinds with the man that lives up there and he even went over to his house for dinner or something one time.

But if you want a good scare go up san felipe road to the abandoned school house. apparently they closed the school after two kids hung themselves there. When i went there was a scary surprize in the house waiting for us I dont want to spoil it for anyone.

hmmm... i've heard a different story about marsh road... just the whole part about who was there... in this story it was a couple out of prom and the guy raped and killed the girl and dumped her body under the bridge... so in this story there was no football players... oh wells however the story goes just going under the bridge is pretty creepy with all these "grafitti" and such. the whole albino bit seems too hyped... but adds more to the creepiness.

ahhh san filipe road! it's fun to drive but i've never found that school... i've heard about it but my friends and i have never found it yet. for me it's all about the drive... some decent twisties... and something that may also be a scare is that old private establishment on the end of the road. well the loss of phone and radio reception isn't really that creepy just might be something due to being so far into the hills/woods.

only thing that really creeps me at those places are the cows and other animals making noises.

I live hella close to marsh road and its nothing really. Its just a big long narrow street that leads to "Old Man Marsh's" house. They made a movie about the killing and my teacher taught the guy who killed the girl, and shes old cause the killing happend like 16-18 years ago I forgot. Old Man Marsh does really carry a gun but its full of blanks. You can go on that street on Halloween and its full of high schoolers. If you go under the bridge, you'll see all this graffiti its nothing special. But yeah, i've been up there 10-15 times and saw nothing. I even did a project for French class and had my friends go under the bridge at Midnight, but we had our car ready with the engine still on cause yeah... you know... just in case.
Heres a site for Haunted Places in the Bay Area. Not sure which is real though.

About Marsh Rd...Ive heard many stories about this place and I've even been up there a few times.

First story I heard was about how a guy killed his date and left her body in that barn and that is why the light in the barn is always on. Supposedly, if you go up there and you see her on the side of the road you have to pick her up and give her a ride to the bridge or some shiet. If not, she will haunt you in your rearview mirror forever. I don't know how true the albino story is...A few of my friends said they have been chased and shot at, but I don't know if its true. When I was up there the last time a big truch with bright lights boxed me in and asked me what I was doing up there. Needless to say it freaked me out. I haven't been up there since.

Second story, supposedly this happened to my friend. They were going down there and if you've been down there you know its a long, narrow road down to the bottom. Well according to them, a cop on a bike pulled them over and wrote them a ticket. Well they didn't agree with it so they went to court to fight it. When they went to court the judge looked at them and was like, Is this some kind of Joke?" They said, "No." The judge says, "This officer has been dead for over 10 yrs." Supposedly this cop was on this road and lost control and died. So I guess he haunts the road still.

I heard Pacheco Pass is haunted too. Its also called "blood alley" because of all the head ons that occur on this stretch of road. Anyone who is going to LA knows about the roads here. 2 lanes. narrow. dark. Anyways, when that pyschic Sylvia Brown went to examine this road she freaked out and got strong vibes from this area. She sees these images of people suffering and dying. She refuses to go back. Ive heard that at night there is an indian on a horse that follows your car. I guess this stretch of road goes through an ancient burial ground.

Anyone know anything about Hicks road. Supposedly they have this thing called "Devil's Door." Its a big rock with a door handle on it. My friend told me its a one way in, one way out sort of deal. At night people box you in and shiet.

The thing with these places is that people always go down to these places to mess with people. I would never go down there without a group of people with some sort of protection. A lot of Satan Worshipping and weirdo's like that at these places.

Im down to go on a ghost hunt though with some people though. There are some places in Fremont im interested in hitting up.

Default All I can say is,.."Rrriiiigggghhht"

Come on you guys, where's the evidence? Everytime you see one of these "hauted places" specials on T.V. there is never any actual video footage of Ghosts. NEVER! So, until someone produces such evidence, I'm just not convinced.

Can anyone tell me where to find actual documented footage of ghosts that don't look like a two year old with the rickets filmed it?

I'm just playing the roll of a skeptic here.
