Default STi replica foglight covers

I just installed a pair of STi replica foglight covers from Revolution Motorsports. Installaion is a breeze...5 min. I didn't use the supplied brackets but the covers snap in very securely. Get a pair and save your foglights from being thrashed. I got mine for $87 + shipping. I recommend these to all WRX owners....don't shell out the money for the real STi ones because you aren't getting anything better.

pardon my ignorance, but does Rev. motorsports have a url?

seriously, i wanted sti covers for my upcoming wrx, but couldn't justify the cost. now i see those for 87 plus shipping... my gf can get them for me as a belated xmas present

hook me up!

edit**
do you have more pix of your wagon online? that's exactly the one i'm looking at getting. don't worry, i'm in so cali, so i won't be one of the many WR blue wagons biting your style

i love how those look, and my commute to school DEMANDS covers.. too many errant rocks.

second edit: ok, found it. slapped self on forehead too..

Get the covers! Your best bet is to call them up directly. Much faster.

wow, thanks so much! you have just the pictures i wanted. You see, i wanted my gf to see the car and color before i bought it (she usually has a better eye for things ). those are EXACTLY what i wanted.

i like how they look on your wagon, and i think i'm going to get them unpainted as well. honestly, i can't see the paint lasting long on my commute

I have one word to describe these....WHACK!!! yeah thats right. I bought the real deals for $200. And they look a ton better than these ones. You spent how much on your car? and your going to worry about a little more? I got them in, took the screen off, had the black plastic painted to match, because even the STi ones dont come painted unless you have the WR Blue. Mines Midnight black pearl by the way. And they look awesome, especially with my JDM headlights, Sti front grill, and Greddy front lip! Dont cheat your car and yourself by getting the cheap ones. Plus you can be real JDM!

you say this now but when some little punk takes a screwdriver and steals your 200 foglight covers youd wish you had gotten the replicas. plus 200 on foglight covers is a waste of money...

Plus Mine is real, I've never been a fan of the imitation stuff. Don't hate me cuz you aint me. haha, j/k. later guys.

Talking update

4000 miles on 'em and no problems. I have already replaced my windshield due to a rock/crack so I am very glad that I have the foglight covers on! Don't waste your money on the 'authentic' STI one...save your money and buy the replicas. what a ripoff.

OT: the blue grill badge was easy to do and it really looks better than the stock black look.

i actually used the brackets to secure them in place. it does not cover the foglights, however, it does cover the piping for the blitz fmic.

Thumbs up

got mine today from www.gruppe-s.com . Fit is great. The covers have 3 tabs which secure it down pretty snug and it comes with a bracket to further secure it. My only complaint was that the bracket was kinda bent out of shape so I had to rebend it to make it able to screw on properly. Only $75 for the set. I also got STi CF side marker replicas for $45, made of real CF. Very nice service and prices.

I might have to pick a set up.....I was thinking about painting the entire part, including the screen, white to match my car, and then maybe screening STI on in black, or in blue.....hehe

whaddya think??

Of course that would be fraud and maybe the insurance company would look into it. They might find it a little hard to believe that foglight covers cost $350. Sure it is nice to the real parts but when you're a poor student you have to make compromises.

Everywhere I look to buy STi foglight covers they're listed for the WRX. Does anyone know for sure if the sames ones sold for the WRX will fit a 2000 RS as well?

wow, i think someone's buying some needlessly expensive parts to make up for the void in the pants......but seriously, why do you care what other people get? It should be obvious that jsmonet wanted them for not only the look, but to serve a purpose, if he wants to buy replicas, he should buy replicas, we all expected someone to come in with a huge diss written in caps, so you might as well save your breath, we heard it before you've said it.

87 bucks huh, i guess now my super cheap intake mod headlight mod badge mod anything diy mod self can go buy some whackass replicas to protect my fogs, or should i find someone to commit fraud for me also and get a nice giken bumper fabricated for me so i don't have to worry about the fogs being exposed hm?

does anybody have pics with the sti logo painted on their replica covers? I want the replicas but I am not convinced that I can painted it on right...or if the paint will actually last if I have to wash mud and stuff off of them.

Unhappy Help with install instructions!

I got some foglight covers, but the brackets dont seem to clear the lights (I couldn't get them on). In fact, the brackets that were supplied seem to mount behind the foglight; there are "tabs" that are right and left side specific, that don't let the foglight clear the "bend".
Is this where the bracket goes (behind mount)? It seems like the brackets I got are possibly the original factory ones that are for the 2002 TS/RS foglight covers that Don't Have Foglights...

Anybody with detailed instructions would be appreciated! and maybe a pic of the brackets they received as well would help!
Thanks!
